RE: Vets Plaza @ Spring Canyon
Estimate.#3072011; $9350.00
Original bid adjustments for service on wall
1) Revised base bid included other materials not needed in original base bid;
this total adjusted the revised base bid to reflect a higher total.
2) Items now installed will need to be removed and then extended to new
locations. For example; main breaker and feeders in restroom pavilion,
removal of disconnect, re-routing of underground from vault to subpanel,
wiring/pipe etc, removal of obsolete wiring and conduits, panel and vaults.
3) New trenching due to location of LCD wall (this will have to be done by
hand)
4) Additional increase of material costs in lighting, gear and general
materials.
These are the main reasons for the increase between the original base bid and
the now revised bid. To summarize; it is because of the increase in material cost
and the removal and re -installation of the system at the park and at the pavilion.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Murray Miles

RE: revised vet plaza

Hi Diggs and Kathleen -
Please find attached a proposal for the remaining landscape architecture and electrical engineering
associated with completing the rest of the project.
Also, in regards to the change order from Eggers Electric, I ran the cost estimate by my electrical
engineer, Kate. Here was her response:
I have reviewed the cost estimate from Eggers Electric and without detailed cost estimating, I believe it is
within reason. The request for the receptacles, although temporary at the stage area required some
creative revisions in the field to get a panel there at 1201240V to accomplish that. The EC will have to do
some moving of equipment and replacing with equipment to accomplish the original design work. The
contractor and I worked out the best options to reuse as much as possible when we change to the original
design, utilizing a higher distribution voltage. That was detailed in the change order of 515111
(attached).
Please review these items and let me know if there are questions. We are very excited to see this
project completed, and appreciate the opportunity to continue to work on it.
Thanks,

Importance: High
Thanks and we need to have a quick meeting this week with Eggers and Kate to discuss the electrical
change. Way too high and I still do not have agreement on an acceptable description of why it is so high.
Once this has been ironed out we can accept this change order and get going.
