Traffic Control —Responsibility of Contractor
o The City will allow a closure at the Linden/Willow
Intersection for installation of the colored crosswalks.
This closure is optional and not necessary for
completion of the work.
o There are two options for this allowable closure:
o Close the entire intersection for 7 days OR close
Willow for 5 days, then close Linden for 5 days.
o It is anticipated that there will be short duration flagging
closures during paving that will be coordinated in the
pre -paving plan meeting. The City does not anticipate
closing the entire roadway during paving operations.

Erosion Control - SWMP
• Contractor will transfer the existing SWMP from Connell Resources for the
portions of the worksite that are covered in the existing SWMP through the
Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)
• Erosion Control Devices are currently installed by Connell per the approved
SWMP.
• It will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor to maintain and repair
the existing erosion control devices.
• It will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor to do weekly SWMP
inspections and turn original signature copies of the SWMP Inspection
Report to the City.
• This work is paid for thru the 208 Line Items based on measured installed
quantities.
Materials Submittal Procedure
• Submittals reviewed by City and HDR/BHA
• Processing Time: 10 Days per submittal
• Samples — 2 Samples (rock, paint finish, colored
concrete, etc.)
• Shop Drawings — 4 copies (metal features)
• Material & Product Certificates — 4 copies (plantings,
irrigation, electrical)

SUPERINTENDENTS:
o The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time Superintendent
whose sole responsibility is to monitor and coordinate all facets of
the work
LIQUIDATED DAMAGES:
SUBSTANIAL COMPLETION:
n The contractor will need to meet substantial completion requirements within
75 days of construction start date. Substantial completion shall be defined as
the completion of all earthwork, conduits, curb and gutter, asphalt, concrete
driveways. concrete sidewalks, and sidewalk pavers, as required for this
project. It the Contractor goes past the 75 calendar days for substantial
completion, damages in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2.000.00) for
cacti calendar day will be assessed.
u FINAL ACCEPTANCE:
Final acceptance will be met within 30 calendar days after substantial
completion. Final completion is defined as landscape work, irrigation system,
lighling system, benches, fences, and punchlist items as defined in the
contract. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) per calendar day will be charged if this schedule has not been met.
