"60 Gr"Urn signage agrees with the culture of late night Old Town and travels effortlessly to and from the vending location. The light -weight, wood sign measures bl" Y 26 and will be located at the tongue of the vending cart for customers ordering ease. The menu is written in non -toxic poster paint over outlined area covered by black chalkboard paint. The sign is visible with a small light powered by AA reusable batteries. The general hours of operation will be I Opm-tam Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The cart will be open other nights that the adjoining theater, The Aggie, have large capacity shows. The opening and closing hours will be adjusted according to the theater's schedule; however, the hours of operation will not exceed four hours, nor begin before 7pm. The cart will not be open on any of the city's blackout dates unless proper permits have been activated. Such events include Old Town Car Show, Colorado Brewers Festival, and New West Fest. During rains or temperatures below 5 degrees Fahrenheit at 5pm on the day of operation, the cart will not be in operation. Ea�,,cd°i�rt� All equipment used to make. vend, and serve food meets Federal Safety Regulations. The ingredients are stored and prepared at the certified Mary Mountain Cookie commissary located at 825 South Shields Street, Fort Collins. The vending cart to be used on location is custom built and certified by Chris iYlanely of the Latimer County Department of Health & Environment on January 25, 2007- The can is able to keep warm food above 135 degrees Fahrenheit and cold food below 41 degrees Fahrenheit. A Plexiglas sneeze guard protects the food while enabling customers to see each ingredient and the burrito being prepared. The service top is made from 18 gauge stainless steel. The sides are made from 20 gauge stainless steel. The bottom is made from 16 gauge steel. Door and drawer front, as well as insulation boxes, are made from 18 gauge stainless steel. All insulations are Class l fireproof. The 15 gallon fresh water tank and 30 gallon waste water tank are made from polypropylene plastic and are non- toxic and food grade safe. The 12VDC Shurflo water demand pump runs or, an Exide 12 volt, deep cycle battery. The 6 gallon, 12,000 BTU/hour, Suburban hot water heater (model SW6P) runs on propane gas, has a porcelain -lined steel tank and foam insulation. The sink is NSA approved and has a white Catalina faucet. The Kidde Fire Extinguisher (model FX210R), located in the cart drawer, is UL rated for 2-A: 10 B:C. 9 A 201b. propane tank fuels the three independent burners. A separate 201b. propane tank fuels the hot water heater. The water pump runs on a deep cycle battery. Lights for the sign run on AA batteries. No outside energy is required from the city for operation. More pictures of the cart and its inner workings are available in Appendix C. C 10 9' d r OMAI It Yrrfdd Leaving as small of an impact foot -print as possible is a goal of Tt'ffi @t.K 160 OPBdfn The ground underneath the cart will be covered by a non -slip tarp in order to insure that all spillage will not stain the brick. Trash and recycling bins are available in order to keep the sidewalk and surrounding areas clean from debris. Each night, the area used will be swept clean and all waste will be removed. The vending area will not be inviting to loitering after customer's orders have been fulfilled so that sidewalk traffic is not impeded. All packaging associated with a burrito will be recycled or recyclable material. Napkins and bags will be of recycled quality and unbleached. Biodegradable cellophane bags will be available upon request. The burritos will be individually wrapped in a single recyclable aluminum foil sheet. TtV IVYS60 Dfl2dm would also like to make the vending area more inviting. A public restroom that is currently opened each night for public use and maintained by the city is mere feet away. It is a goal to help keep these facilities stocked and fresh while the cart is in operation so that late night customer's needs are met. The city has been named as an additional insured up to $1,000,000 on TVW Bts"60 Dr& m't commercial general liability insurance policy provided by Farmers' Insurance Group (policy number APP121209202). Delete: "Food concessionaires must use a tarp under cart to minimize grease deposits and pay site cleaning fee. Concessionaire shall pay Eighty -Five Dollars ($85.00) per month cleaning fee for power washing of the site granted." Add: "Food concessionaires must use a tarp under cart to minimize grease deposits and pay site cleaning fee. Concessionaire shall Pay Two -Hundred -Forty Dollars ($240.00) per month cleaning fee for power washing of the site granted." The term will be extended for one (1) additional year, June 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011. Minimum hours of operation must be maintained per Section 3 — N of the agreement. If the renewal is acceptable to your firm, please sign this letter in the space provided, include a current copy of insurance naming the City as an additional insured, and return all documents to the City of Fort Collins, Purchasing Division, P.O. Box 580, Fort Collins, CO 80522, within the next fifteen (15) days. If this extension is not agreeable with your firm, we ask that you send us a written notice stating that you do not wish to renew the contract and state the reason for non -renewal. Concessionaire should structure proposal in the same numerical order that the mandatory conditions and review criteria are listed and must include the following: 1. Number of years experience outdoor vending in Fort Collins or another city. If experience is not in the City of Fort Collins, include proof of vending elsewhere and list a contact name or phone number to verify. An example of documentation would be copies of sales tax returns for individual years in another city. Number of years: 2. Number of years experience outdoor vending in the Fort Collins Downtown Plan Area on public or private property. Number of years: 5 3. Quality and Suitability of Product: Include description and/or pictures of the products to be sold with estimated prices. Quality comparisons, statements, pictures and/or brochures are requested to review the quality and suitability of the products. 4. Quality/Appearance of Equipment Concessionaires are required to have a mobile cart. The cart may not exceed the size of four (4) foot wide, ten (10) foot long and eight (8) foot high, excluding roof overhangs and wheels. Degree to which City specifications and requirements are met. Include pictures, schematics, or other data that will support and show the quality/appearance of equipment, including cart. The City reserves the right to inspect all equipment to make a determination. 5. Payments to the City: The minimum that will be paid to the City, regardless of numbers of months operated, is the $120 annual fee. In addition, food and beverage concessionaires shall pay between approximately $85 and $240 per month for power washing of their assigned vending site. Concessionaires at sites which are split between day and night operations with another food and beverage concessionaire shall pay a portion of the power washing fee..
