City of Fort Collins James B..O'Neill II, CPPO, FNIGP Director of Purchasing and Risk Management (over$30,000.00) Date: IRTIRWIbi CONSU•LT1NG GROUP April 18, 2011 Mr. Matt Day City of Fort Collins Park Planning and Development 215 N Mason Street Fort Collins, CO 80524 Reservoir Ridge Natural Areas Parking Lot & Pedestrian Bridge Crossings Project Description and Scope of Services Dear Matt - Attached is the project scope and description that we discussed: Description Interwest and King Surveyors will provide engineering and surveying services necessary to create plans for construction and permitting for the proposed access and parking lot off of Overland Trail and two pedestrian crossings along the proposed trail alignment at Reservoir Ridge Natural Area. Scone of Services Surveying — Topographic survey — King Surveyors will provide the topographic survey required for the design of the proposed parking lot and trail head and the two pedestrian bridge crossing locations. King will also prepare a legal description of the ditch crossing as required by the ditch company. Estimated Fee: $4,100 , Final Grading Plans and Site Plans —The final construction plans for the project will include: • Cover Sheet • Grading plan with sufficient spot grades to facilitate construction • Drainage and Erosion Control Plan • Possible pedestrian crossing across Overland Trail to Headwater Drive • Details Estimated Fee: $3,000 Pedestrian Bridge plan, profile and grading — Interwest will prepare plan, profile, and associated grading for the two proposed pedestrian bridge crossings as well as coordination the plans with the Structural design. Estimated Fee: $2,400 Final Drainage Report — prepare a drainage report with calculations to show how the new parking lot and access drive works with the existing drainage patterns. If necessary, Interwest will design a small detention pond to mitigate the increased impervious area associated with the new parking lot. Estimated Fee: $2,200 County & Ditch Processing —attend meetings with the County as required and assistance with the ditch crossing agreement. Estimated Fee: $2,000 1218 W. ASH, STE. Estimated Fee: $1,500 Reimbursables- for prints, mileage, and deliveries, etc... Estimated Fee: $200 Total Estimated Fee: $15,400 Assumptions - I. Specifications, quantities, and contract documents provided by others. 2. No improvements to Overland Trail will be required. 3. Environmental and geotechnical engineering provided by others. 4. No CA or CM work is included. 5. No permitting tasks will be completed by Interwest. Schedule Interwest and King Surveyors will begin work on the project immediately in hopes of bidding the project in June or July, 2011.
