Project Overview
City of Fort Collins, Larimer County and Poudre School District are working in
collaboration to sponsor an Emerging Leadership Development Program for succession
planning purposes. As a result, they have requested a proposal for The Leadership
Challenge 3 day session focusing on developing tools and techniques to enhance
leadership skills in the 5 Exemplary Practice areas as outlined by Kouzes and Posner.
Specifically, the Workshop will be utilizing the Participant Workbook and Manual to
achieve competency in the 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership,
Proposed Approach
Strategic Innovation Associates, LLC uses a whole system and comprehensive
approach to Leadership Development. The whole system approach ensures alignment
with the rest of the program, the strategies of each organization and is highly
participative focusing on real work of the participants as it works in internalizing the
content from the Leadership Challenge Methodology.
This approach will consist of the following steps
1. Conversation with the key stakeholders/sponsors to understand key issues in
each organization and ensure alignment to overall Leadership Development
Program.
2. Administration of the individual LPI and/or 360 LPI depending on desire of the
stakeholders/sponsors.
3. Prepare for and facilitate the 3 days.
4. Debrief with stakeholders/sponsors.
