7155 Project Management Services -Mason Corridor Less than three proposals

A pre -proposal meeting was held on July 8, 2010 and there was one engineering company
(AECOM) and one geotechnical firm (Terracon) present at the meeting besides City
representatives. Terracon said they were there to "see what was going on" and was not
going to propose.
One proposal was received on July 16, 2010 from AECOM. AECOM was the original firm
selected for the project management services for the Mason Corridor. Because only one
proposal was received, and the City is familiar with this firm, the City proceeded directly to
contract negotiations.
Other firms did not propose due to the extensive 18 month relationship that the City had with
AECOM. Keith Meyer from Ditesco Services stated that he would not propose due to that
relationship but would wait to propose on the Construction Management rfp which will be
issued later.
