HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND
GENERAL REQ'S:
• SUPERINTENDENTS:
o The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time Superintendent
whose sole responsibility isto monitor and coordinate all facets of
the worms
LIQUIDATED DAMAGES:
o SUBSTANIAL COMPLETION:
o The contractor will need to meet substantial completion requirements within
112 days of construction start date. Substantial completion shall be defined
as the completion of all earthwork, asphalt placement, concrete items, utility
installations, landscaping and any other pertinent items as required for this
project. If the Contractor goes past the 112 calendar days for substantial
completion, damages in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,063.00) for
each calendar day will be assessed.
o FINAL ACCEPTANCE:
Final acceptance must be met by August 14, 2009. Liquidated damages in the
amount of One Thousand Dollars ($i,000.00) per calendar day will be charged
if this schedule has not been met.

• PROJECT MEETINGS:
o Once a week at the construction trailer located on site, time to
be determined.
o PROGRESS AND SCHEDULE REVISIONS:
o Schedules shall be updated weekly. The Contractor may be
required to submit additional schedules depending on the
progress of the project.
• HAUL ROUTES:
o Arterial and Collector streets only. Contractor will not be
allowed to use residential streets to access the site with
trucks hauling materials.

• SITE CLEAN-UP:
o The construction work shall be kept and accomplished in a
neat, clean and orderly fashion.
o Tracking pads and street sweeping will need to be used in

Erosion Control - SWMP
• Contractor will obtain and maintain the SWMP from the Colorado Dept of
Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)
• Erosion Control is broken into several measurable pay items.
• The Erosion Control Plans provided are not the SWMP. However, plan
quantities were calculated from the Erosion Control Plan.
• Erosion Control Supervisor is an hourly pay item.
• The Erosion Control Supervisor will meet with the Project Engineer and
Contract Superintendent at least every 7 days and within 24 hours of
storm/snowmelt events.

• An Addendum for the project was posted online on
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 to clarify discreprencies
between the plan quantities and the bidtab quantities.
It contained a revised bid tab.
• An additional Addendum will be posted on April 9,
2010 and it will also include a revised Bid Tabs. The
revised bid tab will remove the item 210-0001 - Reset
Structure (Monument Sign).
