Our Clock Where: 215 North Mason Street (2nd Floor) 1 IMPORTANT MILESTONES • AWARD CONTRACT — Approximately October 30, 2009 • CONSTRUCTION START DATE Approximately November 9, 2009 • SUBTANTIAL COMPLETION — 45 Working Days from Construction Start Date • FINAL COMPLETION — Maximum allotted time is 10 working days following completion SUMMARY OF WORK Whitcomb -Magnolia Bridge Replacement • This work shall consist of the Contractor constructing a new 14x2.5 Cast in Place Concrete Box Culvert. Also included in the work are the two tie-in sections at both ends that transition from 14' back to the existing Box Culvert. Work will also include but not be limited to the placement of concrete Curb, Sidewalk, Driveways and Ramps. Demolition work will be done by the City of Fort Collins. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS • Whitcomb -Magnolia Bridge Replacement — Bid No. 7081 — Project Specifications — Planset • Designed by: City of Fort Collins • Sheet Ws 1-8 7 PROJECT COORDINATION • City of Fort Collins Storm Water Crews — Removal of Asphalt, Box and Concrete — Placement of Bedding Material. Contractor needs to be present on the last day of placement to coordinate acceptance. • City of Fort Collins Surveying and Traffic Control • CTL Thompson — Material Testing thru City HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS & GENERAL REG'S SUPERINTENDENTS — The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time Superintendent whose sole responsibility is to monitor and coordinate all facets of the work. • LIQUIDATED DAMAGES — Substantial Completion: • 45 working days from possession of site • Liquidated Damages of $430.00 for each calendar day will be assessed FINAL ACCEPTANCE — Final acceptance must be met within 10 days after substantial completion. Liquidated damages of $600.00 per calendar day will be charged if this schedule has not been HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS & GENERAL REG'S • WARRANTY — The Contractor will be required to warranty their work for 2 years after date of final acceptance • CONSTRUCTION HOURS — The operation of all machinery and vehicles must take place between the hours of lam to 6pm — The Contractor may request extended hours • The request must be approved by the City of Fort Collins 3 days prior to any work — Weekends or Holidays 3 HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS & GENERAL REG'S • PROJECT MEETINGS — Once a week on site, time to be determined • PROGRESS AND SCHEDULE REVISIONS — Schedules shall be updated weekly with a two week 'look ahead" at proposed work and needs • SITE CLEAN-UP — The construction work shall be accomplished in a neat, clean and orderly fashion — City can have streets swept and bill to Contractor 5 HIGHLIGHTS FROM SPECS 211-01 Dewatering I` HIGHLIGHTS FROM SPECS 515-01 Waterproofing Coating IT IL � xOo 1.
