Description of Bid 7045: Power Trail Fencing Keenland Drive to Trilby Road
OPENING DATE: 3:00 P.M. (Our Clock) July 7, 2009
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described
above, the following changes are hereby made.
CHANGES/CLARIFICATIONS:
Contractor will be responsible to mow tall grass in the areas that the fence will
be constructed.
2. Bid Item #2 — Field Fabric Fence Bracing Section has increased in quantity
from 9 to 18 due to stopping and starting the fence through the wetland area.
(See BID SCHEDULE attached)
3. City will stake the alignment for the fence including where the fence will stop
and start through the wetlands.
4. City will provide concrete testing for the Golf Barrier footings.
5. Contractor to provide overflow ditch crossing with 3 smooth strand wires for a
span of approx. 20' in place of field fabric material.
6. City will allow contractor to install posts for field fabric fence using a post
driver.
7. Contractor will have construction and concrete trucks access, south of #7
green at Southridge Golf Course, along dirt path for the construction of the
Golf Barrier and field fabric trail fence.
SPECIFICATIONS
SECTION 02820 — GOLF BARRIER, PART 2: MATERIALS
Replace 2.01 Poles, A. with Wood: Pressure treated southern pine, No.
2 grade or equal, shall meet or exceed the following requirements:
Bending (Fb) — 850 psi, Shear (Fv) — 165 psi, Moe — 1, 200, 000 PSI.
DRAWING S1.1 — STRUCTURAL NOTES & DETAILS
Replace Structural Notes with Wood: Pressure treated southern pine,
No. 2 grade or equal, shall meet or exceed the following requirements:
Bending (Fb) — 850 psi, Shear (Fv) — 165 psi, Moe — 1, 200, 000 PSI.
2. Detail Drawing 5' FIELD FABRIC FENCE revised to exclude NON -
CLIMB HORSE FABRIC to FIELD FABRIC FENCE and reduced post
size from 5" to 4" post. (See attachments)
3. Detail Drawing 5' FIELD FABRIC FENCE BRACE SECTION revised to
exclude NON -CLIMB HORSE FABRIC to FIELD FABRIC FENCE and
added a note specifying 4" posts. (See attachments)
