Location: Entryway of Poudre High School, Fort Collins, CO.
Description: This piece represents a collaboration of four local artists. (Christine
Martell, Barbara Breen, Jerry Hubka and Bruce Gueswell) The individually
created pieces hang together as a whole that represents the path of the Poudre
River and its vital presence in the community of Fort Collins. The piece was
commissioned as part of the renovation of Poudre High School that was
completed in 1995.

Phoenix 1999

Location: Entryway of Boltz Junior High School, Fort Collins, CO
Description: This piece represents the story of the story of the Phoenix, a
miraculous bird that died by fire and rose up alive from its own ashes. The
Phoenix was chosen as the mascot of the school after a serious fire delayed the
opening of the newly constructed building.

Description: This is a detail of a work in progress. It will be one of five large elements in an
interactive installation that addresses the notion of finding and keeping a balance.
