Subject: *Clarification" Veolia
Jim and Kurt,
I received clarification from Brad on questions 9 and 10.
For question 9, it is Veolia's intent that they do not get "all the long distance trips".
I have no intention in decreasing the number of long distance trips to Veolia. In other words, I will keep
scheduling
the long distance trips to Veolia wherever possible. Therefore, I object to adding this
bullet to the contract.
For question 10, Veolia wants us to set a baseline for number of flagged trips. In 2008, there
were 3286 trips to the two major adult day care locations which we "flag" as "must walk to the door
regardless of client's direction". This number accounts for 8% of the total ridership that occurred on
both Shamrock and DAR in 2008.
Could we add something like:
"If there is more than a 10% increase in the flagged trips, contractor shall have the right to negotiate an
equitable fee for these extra provided services.
The baseline for flagged trips is currently 8% of total performed trips."
Let me know if this makes sense.
Thanks,
Craig
