Question Page 17 11 4 (b) requires tagged video not to be overwritten until the tag is removed
Once tagged events are downloaded via the wireless system is the tagged image on the hard
drive still necessary
Answer Provide details of your tagging system The intent is to store event triggered data on
the vehicle system until it can be downloaded safely and securely Explain the operation of your
system before during and after a tagged event is downloaded to a viewing station
Question Page 17 11 5 (b) requires 30 FPS for up to 6 cameras or 180 FPS in aggregate If
the proposed system is capable of continuously producing 120 FPS aggregate or 20 FPS
percamera for 6 cameras would that be sufficient data?
Answer Please include a full description of your system capabilities including sample videos for
proposed systems which differ from that specified by a significant margin A decision will be
made during our evaluation process as to the comparative merits of each proposed system
Question Page 17 11 5 (a) requires saving and storing video at a higher frame rate when
tagged If the proposed system is capable of 20 FPS per camera in all modes of operation will
that satisfy this requirement?
Answer Same answer as for Page 17 11 5 (b)
Question Page 19 11 9 (g) requires a laptop computer to connect to the vehicle wirelessly
within 100 feet In a previous section of the specification pages 13 4 (b) requires the use of
your existing Cisco wireless components It is our understanding that a Cisco bridge
configured in bridge mode for downloads must communicate with another Cisco bridge also
configured in bridge mode We can meet the requirements for laptop connectivity however a
portable Cisco bridge must be connected to the laptop This is a Cisco requirement
Answer Please describe your proposed system capabilities and any or all components needed
to successfully connect your system wirelessly as described using Cisco equipment Include
any other wireless options or configurations you feel may be of benefit to Transfort and which
your firm has deployed before
Question Page 16 11 2 (a) The video quality of a high resolution setting can differ greatly
from system to system We recommend the City of Fort Collins require each vendor submit
actual video clips recorded from the proposed system This will provide the City with a side by
side comparison of video quality and to ensure the video quality meets the standards set by the
evaluation team for identification purposes as stated above
Answer Since it is difficult and time consuming to verify that video clips were produced using
nothing but the proposed system hardware and software we elected not to require videos until
the interview and demonstration phase of the procurement process However if they choose to
do so vendors are free to submit recorded video as part of their proposal
Question Page 17 11 5 (d) Can you provide an estimate of the hours per day the vehicles are
in operation? This will allow us (and other proposing vendors) to submit price proposals for the
recording media that will support the requirement of fourteen days providing the City with a
more comparative price proposal
Answer Transit buses are operated about 14 hours per day per bus Paratransit buses run
about 9 5 hours per day per bus
Association (EIA) In case of conflict between the requirements of the scope and
specifications and those listed documents the requirements of the listed documents
shall prevail

Question PART II Section 22b (Spare Parts And Maintenance Requirements) and Exhibit A
(Price Submittal Form) These sections do not designate a specific spare percentage or level
that should be priced Would Transfort consider specifying a Spares Percentage in order to
ensure consistency on how Contractors price the Spares portion of the job'?
Answer Transfort s preference will be to follow the guidance of the vendor and how much spare
equipment should be on hand This also goes to the hardware capability and endurance We
will take note of variations in spare parts pricing during our evaluation
Question PART II, Section 18 (Service Support) Section 19 (Warranty) and Section 20
(Maintenance Agreement Pricing Option) Will Contractor be responsible for all
remove/replace of defective equipment at Transfort or is this a function that Transfort will
normally perform on their own after being trained by Contractor? In other words will on site
service be performed by Contractor for all remove/replace of defective equipment or is on site
service only necessary for service items outside of standard remove/replace functions?
Answer Defective equipment and the time required for troubleshooting removal and
reinstallation of working units will have to be negotiated as part of the warranty period as well as
the maintenance period It is preferred to have the fleet services department perform this work
after having been trained
Question Alternate proposal Will Transfort accept proposals which provide a substantially
different approach to the requirements as specified in the RFP?
Answer Alternate proposals will be considered Generally such proposals must adhere to the
desired outcomes and contain detailed explanations of the way those outcomes are to be
achieved Alternative solutions must follow the desired format for submittals and provide
system details using readily understandable descriptions System pricing must be accompanied
by suitable comparative cost analysis The goal must be to provide sufficient information to
allow reasonable comparison to other proposals
