an additional 180 LF. The following demolition and concrete work is hereby proposed. No landecaos
or irrigation restoration Is Included In this price. To be included by School District

MEMORANDUM

Re: Inlet installation at Spring Canyon Community Park
This memo is intended to provide instructions for the installation of an inlet and cut-off wall at
the north end of the regional detention pond in Spring Canyon Community Park. Currently, the
plans show a CDOT Type C inlet at the outlet with a 150 RCP Stormsewer delivering water to
Spring Creek. Dan Mattson with the City of Fort Collins requested that a standard Fort Collins
inlet be installed in order for spare grates to be readily available in case of theft. The attached
standard area inlet was approved by Dan and was analyzed by Ayres Associates to ensure its
suitability. Ayres Associates completed a hydraulic analysis and determined that the
interception capacity of the grate matched the design discharge. Therefore, please install the
inlet according to the detail drawing.
Additionally, Dan indicated he wanted a cut-off wall to ensure no piping occurs. The requested
cut-off wall is to be made of an impermeable clay layer. Please install the cut-off wall according
to the construction drawing sheet number C4.9, detail 1. This detail shows a ditch crossing with
a cut-off wall. The cut-off wall portion of the detail shall be implemented with clay material.
