HomeMy WebLinkAboutPrebid - BID - 26727 59795979 ZIEGLER AND KECHTER ROAD ROUNDABOUTZIEGLER ROAD AND KECHTER ROAD HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ'S: • Superintendents: - The General Contractor SHALL employ a full time Superintendent whose sole responsibility is to monitor and coordinate all facets of the work also inclining OSHA safety laws. • Warranty: The Contractor will be required to warranty the street improvements 2 years after date of final acceptance. • Construction Hours: The operation of all machinery and vehicles must take place between the hours of: • 6:30 a.m, thru 9:00 p.m. • The Contractor may request extended hours The requests must be approved by the City of Fort Collins 3 days prior to any work. HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ'S: • Construction Surveying: — Provided by the Contractor. • Traffic Control: — Provided by the Contractor. • Geotechnical and Materials Testing: — Provided by the Owner. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to schedule the testing in advance with the owners testing firm. 9 HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ'S: • Project Meetings: — Once a week at the construction trailer located on -site, time to be determined. The TCS will be required to attend all weekly meetings. • Progress and Schedule Revisions: — Schedules shall be updated weekly. The schedule for this project is important to the City of Fort Collins. The Contractor may be required to submit additional schedules depending on the progress of the project. •- Haul Routes: — Arterial and Collector streets only. Contractor will not be allowed to use residential streets to access the site with trucks hauling materials. HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL REQ'S • Site Clean -Um — The Construction work and processes shall be kept and accomplished in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. • Work Area Safety: — The Contractor shall provide, at the Contractor's expense, all work area safety control devices, such as barricades and safety fence around all excavations, trenches and drop offs. in TRAFFIC CONTROL: • Traffic Control: — The traffic control for this project will be paid for by the Lump Sum to the Contractor and will include all costs for the traffic control associated with this project. — Message Boards will be paid for by the Day • A total of 7 message boards for 20 days will be required to inform the surrounding public of upcoming roadway information. • These boards will placed for 7 consecutive days, so include two mobilizations. — Flagging on this job shall be paid for by the hour. it has been estimated that the job will requirea total of 1040 hours of flagging. The construction scope consists of: curb and gutter, bike lanes, sidewalk, new irrigation pipe and splitter boxes. • The existing concrete intersection of Ziegler / Kechter will be pulverized in place and re -constructed as a 130 foot diameter roundabout. The proposed intersection work will consist of: concrete paving, decorative concrete medians, enhanced colored concrete crosswalks, rotomilling operations, flyash operations, asphalt paving, landscaping, stormsewer improvements. • The project also consists of installing a 24" waterline for the FCLWD (approximately 2400 linear feet), from Kechter Road south to Trilby Road.
