Why Dupont 66 Nylon Netting Is Better Raw 66 Nylon Tops The Chart For Strength Retention After 9 Months Exposure in Florida. 66 6 Pdyestet Propylene Simply put, when raw natural colored fibers were tested for 9 months of exposure in Florida sunlight, the Dupont 66 nylon retained the highest percentage of strength when compared to Nylon 6, Polyester, and polypropylene. The resistance to ultra violet exposure and weathering increases substantially on all of these fibers As UV stabilizers, dye stuffs, and bonding agents are added in the manufacturing process. Starting with the right raw material is key in getting long life and durability. Asphalt Treatment Developed for the tough Pacific Coast commercial fisheries, this treatment has been used for the past 80 years. When continuous fishing in the salty waters of the Pacific Ocean for wild salmon demanded a tough, long lasting treatment, the "dyed black & tarred" netting was the solution. The process starts by dying the nylon netting with the UV stable black dye stuffs. The web then passes slowly through the asphalt mixture, which doesn't just coat the nylon, but penetrates and adheres to every fiber. This process gives ultimate layers of protection from damaging UV rays and weathering, giving your range netting the best chance of survival in whatever climate your In. Netting & Wind Shear An important factor to consider when purchasing any range netting is wind shear. Nylon and polyester fibers tend to have less wind shear than propylene's due to the simple ability to twist or braid the fibers in a tighter configuration while maintaining strength. We offer #12, #15, & #18 twines all of which range from 81X, to 10% shear. Be sure to check this factor, as it impacts any structure put up to suspend the range netting from. Accelerated weather testing Diarnor:d Nets has Invested thousands of hours and considerable capital In aCCelerated weather testing for some of the toughest Florida conditions. all weather tests were done by an independent company to assure non bias results on our +18 twine. 10 year warranty, golf web.
