Albert G. Hood
Late President
Founder of ABCO Contracting, Inc. in 1968, Mr. Hood was a consulting member for the Colorado Dept. of
Transportation in adopting specifications for Bridgedeck waterproofing and Rehabilitation which are still
used today. Mr. Hood was honored by the Colorado Contractor's Association by receiving their "1995
Construction Pioneer Award" for his contributions to the Colorado Construction industry. On October 14th
2005, A.G. Hood passed away. He leaves behind a legacy and a spirit to succeed in an industry he felt so
blessed to be a part of. ABCO Contracting, Inc. will always do business with the same principles and
integrity that Mr. Hood laid as the foundation for his companies success. He will be greatly missed.

Al Jr. will celebrate his 23`d year in the family business. His construction experience stems back to when
he was 12 years old spending Saturdays with Al Sr. measuring and checking jobs. As he grew older, Al
Worked full time in the summer while attending high school, and later, the University of Northern
Colorado. Al continued his education in the construction field by taking night courses in blue print reading,
And the civil engineering industry. He spent several years in the field, building then supervising projects

Joe Bragg
General Superintendent
Joe will celebrate 22 years with ABCO Contracting, Inc. this year. Starting his career with ABCO as a
laborer, Joe worked his way up through the ranks to skilled labor, skilled craftsman, supervisor and now to
his current position as General Superintendent for the past nine years. Joe is responsible for overseeing the
daily field operations of all projects. His primary duties include: scheduling crews, material purchasing,
Facilitating weekly supervisor's meetings, meeting with owner's and engineers during project
preconstruction to completion and subcontractor control. Joe has a wide range of experience in form and
pour concrete placement, slipform concrete pavement, site survey and a vast knowledge of varying
concrete mix designs.

Jared started with ABCO while serving an internship while attending Colorado School of Mines.
Upon graduating from Mines with a degree in economics and a minor in math, Jared began fulltime
Employment and is currently in his fourth year. His contribution to ABCO Contracting, Inc. has been
enormous with his knowledge of job budgets, equipment amortization and computer programs. Jared's
Primary duties include, plan take -offs using the mustang digitizer, estimating all aspects of concrete site
Development, evaluating material and subcontractor quotations, job costing, tracking project quantities
And all pay application submittals. His organizational skills and attention to detail has been a tremendous
Asset to ABCO Contracting, Inc.
Ken Treat
Supervisor
Ken has over 25 years in the concrete industry. His knowledge and experience has led him to a wide range
Of construction projects. From large concrete removal and replacement jobs, to complete bridgedeck
rehabilitations, to new curb, gutter & sidewalk installations. He also has experience building ADA
compliant handicap ramps with the most recent guidelines (i.e. detectable warning systems, cast & tac, cast
in place brick pavers and stamped detectable warning systems). Ken is proficient in reading plans and
specifications and has built many projects for CDOT and other municipalities. His primary duties include:
Working with project owners and engineers, crew scheduling, crew production, schedule materials, daily
log sheets and time sheets.
Mike Peterson
Supervisor
Mike has been with ABCO for the past four years, two of which were spent as a lead finisher and the last
two as a field supervisor. Mike has made great strides in his supervisory capacity. With a strong
background of hands-on field training, he understands what the "end product" of a project should look like.
Since his position of supervisor, mike has built many municipality removal and replacement projects, each
with a different criteria. Most of his projects have included, curb & gutter, sidewalks, crosspans, her and
Combination curb, gutter & walks. Most of the work has been street reconstruction projects with a very
tight schedule to minimize public inconvenience and not delay street paving by other contractors. Mike has
accomplished this with great success.

determining mix designs and the over-all operation of a slipform paver. Recent projects include:

Yosemite Retail (Greenwood Village). His primary duties include: Crew scheduling, crew production,
Material scheduling, tracking quantities, daily log sheets and time sheets.
Jose Ramirez
Supervisor
Jose has been employed with ABCO Contracting, Inc. for eight years. He has been in a supervisory
capacity for the last four years in our Bridgedeck Waterproofing & Rehabilitation Division. The scope of
this work entails the repair of concrete structures (if required) followed by the installation of a
waterproofing membrane system and Hot Bituminous Paving on 90% of Colorado' bridge structures.
Jose has been involved in many high profile projects throughout the state, such as: C-470; E-470;
Northwest Parkway; Broadway bridge and Debeque Canyon on the western slope. Jose has been
instrumental in labeling ABCO Contracting, Inc. as the "Premier" company in the state for this type of
work.

KNOW All MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that we, the undersigned ABCO
Contracting Company, Inc. as Principal, and Insurance Company of
the West as Surety, are hereby held and firmly bound unto the
City of Fort Collins, Colorado, as Owner, in the penal sum of Five Percentof
Amount Bid ($5% ) for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we
hereby jointly and severally bind ourselves, successors, and assigns.
THE CONDITION of this obligation is such that whereas the Principal
has submitted to the City of Fort Collins, Colorado the accompanying bid
and hereby made a part hereof to enter into a Contract Agreement for the
construction of City of Fort Collins Project, 5963 Trail Work 2006
WHEREAS, the Owner, as a condition for receiving said bid, requires
the Principal to deposit with the Owner a Bid Guaranty equal to five
percent (5%) of the amount of said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE,
(a) If said bid shall be rejected; or in the alternate,
(b) If said bid shall be accepted and the Principal
shall execute and deliver a Contract Agreement
(properly completed in accordance with said bid) and
shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond upon
the forms prescribed by the Owner for the faithful
performance of said Agreement; and shall in all
other respects perform the agreement created by the
acceptance of said bid;
then this obligation shall be void, otherwise the same shall remain in
force and effect; it being expressly understood and agreed that the liabi-
lity of the Surety for any and all claims hereunder shall, in no event,
exceed the penal amount of this obligation as herein stated.
