Secondary objectives are to recycle the appliances in a comprehensive manner, destroy CFC-11 foam insulation and provide exemplary customer service. 699 refrigerators and freezers were collected in 2004 and 626 in 2005. In order to ieach the original three year goal (2250 units) of the program, the 2006 program will need to collect 925 units. Summary The RFR Program has evolved over the last two years. It was initially planned to hc ive Jaco collect all the units over an 8-10 week period during the summer. However, the rate of Utilities customers calling to schedule appointments was not high enough to sustain contin jous pickups. Therefore, the structure was changed to one where Jaco provides customer picku for one week followed by a six to eight week period to fill up another pickup schedule. This structure also dictates that the program be offered over a longer period of time. For 2006, the RF program will be active from March through October.
