HomeMy WebLinkAboutRFP - P980 ART IN PUBLIC PLACESDESIGN CONSULTANT RESOURCE LIST 2005
P980 DEADLINE: MARCH 7, 2005
PROJECT
The City of Fort Collins is seeking visual artists to serve as design consultants for city construction projects. The
Art in Public Places Program is creating a list of approved artists who can work as Design Consultants for city
projects that may or may not have an independent art budget. Design consultants selected from the resource
list will work with a project team, architects, engineers, and managers to designate opportunities for art within
the project or within a separate art budget. This approach requires good collaboration skills, creativity, flexibility,
as well as an open mind. The department, design team, and APP Board will determine the extent of the design
consultant’s involvement in a project. The design consultant will be paid a fee of $50 an hour for the design
phase, or will be commissioned to create a piece of artwork for the site.

This project is open to Colorado artists. The artist must be willing to work with the selected project team.
