This proposal is to upgrade the current Johnson Controls access system to Continental Access Systems while connecting 300 LaPorte to 117 North Mason Street via a Lantronix. Project Notes: Building Codes —As discussed in pre -bid walk through on August 11th, 2005; Vizer Group will not be responsible for bringing the current access control system, including locking hardware up to code. Additional bids may be requested in the fu- ture for such work. Also, per Addendum No. 1 no door position switches nor new request to exit switches will be quoted. Door Hardware—Vizer Group will assume that all existing locking hardware is in proper working order and will not need maintenance other than basic cable connec- tions. Cabling—Vizer Group has proposed to run new cable to be spliced at or near the door except for the cable running from the Lobby doors into the basement, this will be spliced in the basement. Any existing cabling that is not needed for the upgrade will be removed to make for one "clean" installation. Power—Vizer Group will provide all new external power supplies and will need to be hardwired in by the City of Fort Collins' electrical vendor. Panel Locations —A floor plan has been included with this proposal to show where each new Continental panel will be located. Please assume that wherever a Conti- nental panel is placed, a Securitron power supply will be as well. Room to grow—Vizer Group will supply Superterm 8 access panels with extra room for future expansion. There will be three (3) available slots in the basement (from the lobby doors panel #2); one (1) additional slot in the garden level (panel #3) and two (2) available slots in the second floor (panel #4). Any high voltage power must be supplied by the electrical contractor and is not part of the proposal. All cabling including electronic device fishing and termination will be performed by Vizer Group. Installation schedule —We understand that scheduling and deadlines are critical to a successful construction project. Vizer Group will go above and beyond the nor- mal course of action to ensure that deadlines are achieved. System Testing —With a system of this size and scale, testing is a critical compo- nent to a successful installation. Once all terminations have been made and the conversion switch has been flipped, Vizer Group will run the system through exten- sive trials and tests to ensure that all functionality requirements are met and ex- ceeded in all possible conditions. Project Completion —Once the system has met all testing requirements and is ready to go live, we will turn the system over to the city.
