2. Door Schedule & Door Types on drawing AT I & Elevations A2.1 & A2.2:
Coiling Doors I I I & 113 (Type 3) are 16' wide x 16' high. These are shown
and noted correctly on the Door Schedule and Door Types, but they are
incorrectly drawn too tall on the elevations. (Note that the walls that these
doors are in are shown obliquely on the elevations, which further distorts their
apparent height vs. width.)
3. Section 08710 Door Hardware par. 2.02 Security Card Key Reader Locks:
LeFebure Corporation has gone out of business. Add HID as an acceptable
manufacturer. The Keypad/Card Reader system for this facility must be
compatible with the existing system at the Fort Collins Streets Facility, which
is an HID system. HID's web site is http://www.hipeorp.com/Liroducts.
4. Civil Design Drawings:
a. Drawing C-2: Modify truck loading pavement design per the
Supplemental Pavement Thickness Report from Terracon dated March 7,
2005, per Attachment A.
b. Drawing C-2: Clarified protective bollards at the ends of the liquid
dispensing island, per Attachment B.

service to the Break Building. Relocated the fire hydrant to the South end
of the liquid dispensing island. Added Notes 7 and 8. See Attachment D.
e. Drawing C-5: Revised concrete encasement of waterline, Attachment E.
5. Section 16482 Electrical:
a. The Motor Control Center should be a NEMA 4 enclosure. Re: Section
16482.2.02.A.1: Change NEMA type 3R to type 4. Drawings: Sheet E1.7.
Electrical One -Line Diagram. Change the notation on the motor control
center from NEMA type 4R to type 4.
b. Sheet E1.2 — Site Power Plan: Delete the electrical service shown from
the existing pad mounted transformer on the CDOT site. Add a new pad
mounted transformer, by Fort Collins Light and Power, on the east side of
the drain pan, along the West property line. Service to the De -Icing
Facility shall be from the new transformer. See Attachment F.
c. Sheet E1-7 —Electrical One -Line Diagram: Change the note at the pad
mounted transformer to read: "New pad mounted transformer by Fort
Collins Light and Power". Change the note at the CT cabinet to read:
"CT cabinet furnished and installed by E.C.". Change the enclosure type
on the 800A main breaker and the 800A4P double -throw switch to NEMA
4. See Attachment G.
6. Thickness of cone. slab in Compressor Room: Detail 3/A3.2 notes this slab as
4". Dome Foundation Plan on S 1 notes it as 6". Structural drawing is correct;
3/A3.2 is incorrect. Slab should be 6" thick, and reinforced per S 1.
7. Detail 7/A3.2 shows the curb at the east side of the concrete drive extending
below the bottom surface of the concrete drive, which it shows as 12" thick
max. This is incorrect. The correct concrete drive (ramp) detail is shown in
Section A -A on Civil sheet C-2. Drive is 7" thick. Bottom of curb is flush w/
bottom of drive. Curbs are poured integrally w/ the drive.
8. The liquid storage tanks in the Tank Yard are to be furnished by the Owner
(City) and installed by the Contractor. Contractor shall arrange delivery
schedule for the tanks with the Owner. The weight of the tanks (empty) is
approx. 5,500 lbs. Lift eyes and tie -down flanges are provided on the top and
sides of the tank. Tanks are to be placed on the level, 12'-6" diameter pads at
elevation 100'-0" in the tank yard. (Re. Arch. Drawing Al.1 and Dome
Foundation Plan S 1.) Contractor shall coordinate anchorage requirements
with the tank manufacturer, including type of cast -in anchors, their locations
and connections between anchors and tie -downs. The tanks are manufactured
by Palmer Mfg. & Tank Inc., Garden City, Kansas. A drawing of the tank is
provided as Attachment H. Five of the tanks are currently in the Streets
Department's yard, and can be inspected by Bidders, upon request.
9. Pipe supports shown on M2.4 and M2.6 shall be furnished and installed by the
Subcontractor installing the piping.
10. The concrete drain pan on the west side of the site is existing. It is incorrectly
noted as new on AS.1.
11. Re: AS. I : "New" vinyl covered chain link fence is noted at the north and
south property lines. This is incorrect. All chain link fencing shown is
existing. No new chain link fencing is required for this work. Note that the
existing chain link fencing along the east property line is to be removed as
part of this work.
12. Section 13800 Operator Interfaces and Operator Control Sequences: The
entire control system and all its components including the operator interface
equipment and workstations are to be furnished and installed as part of this
Contract. As noted, the Contractor shall coordinate specific details, design,
and requirements for the system with the Owner.
13. Section 03100 Concrete Forms and Accessories: Note that paragraph 2.01-A-
2 requires HDO plyform sheets or plastic form liner for the Dome Building
concrete walls. This requirement will apply to exposed portions of both
interior and exterior faces of all the Dome Building concrete walls, including
the Tunnel, Stair and Conveyor Shelter. Section 03300 Cast -In -Place
Concrete par. 3.08-F requires a "grout cleandown" for exposed concrete
surfaces of the Dome Building. This procedure will be required only for the
exposed portions of the exterior faces of the exterior concrete walls of the
Dome Building.
14. Section 03365 Concrete Sealer and Hardener & Section 01230 Alternates Alt.
No. 2: Sealer Hardener is to be applied to all exposed concrete surfaces on the
interior of all parts of the Dome Building. This would include the tunnel,
including the underside of the concrete floor slab that forms the ceiling of the
tunnel, all exposed concrete surfaces inside the Stair enclosure and the
Conveyor Shelter and the Compressor Room. Note that per Section 07192,
the exposed exterior faces of the concrete walls at the Dome Building are to
receive a Silane-type Water Repellant, which is to be applied over the "grout
cleandown" treatment described in section 03300. Concrete Sealer Hardener
per 03365 will also be required on all the exposed interior concrete surfaces of
the Conveyor Pit. No Sealer Hardener or Water Repellant will be required on
other exposed exterior concrete surfaces such as the Tank Yard slab &
containment curb or the concrete drive that approaches the Conveyor Pit.
15. Re: Plumbing drawing P1.1 and Civil drawings C3/C4/C5: Note that the civil
drawings show the pit for the sump pump located further away from the
building than the plumbing drawings. The location shown on the Civil
drawings is correct.
16. Section 08710 - 2.02 Security Key Card Reader Locks: Par. C notes
Electronic Locks as being supplied under Division 16 Electrical. This is
incorrect. Electronic Locks are to be furnished installed as part of the Security
Key Card/Card Reader System. Note that per electrical drawings, 120v power
is to be provided to the Card Readers. Coordinate exact location(s) required
for power with supplier of the Card Readers. All low voltage wiring including
wiring to electronic locks is to be furnished and installed by the installer of the
Security Key Card/Card Reader System.
17. Re: S1 Dome Foundation Plan: The tie rods in the slab shall be smooth 36
KSI rods. Coupling splices will be allowed.
18. Re: S1 Dome Foundation Plan and detail 3/A3.2: The 8" concrete sidewalls at
the north and west sides of the 6" flat slab in the Compressor Room shall be
reinforced with #4 rebar @ 12" o.c. ea. way @ the outside face of the wall.
