ROADWAY MAINTENANCE DESIGN AND PLANS
REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES NO. 'I
It was assumed, with the original scope of services for the project, that no new storm
drainage system would be designed for the project and that the vertical roadway
design of the project would match to the extent possible the existing centerline grade
of the roadway. The project is within current City floodplain limits, but it was
understood that by keeping the new roadway centerline near that of the existing and
by not making any major storm drain improvements no floodplain modeling and
associated documentation would be needed for the project.
This additional service request is written to cover costs incurred by Stanteo
Consulting in preparing floodplain modeling, associated floodplain documentation,
and meetings associated with the floodplain work requested by the City.
Specifically Stantec is requesting the following:
Meetings:
❑ One meeting to discuss approach to the floodplain modeling (Dale
Stein and Dawn Gladwell - 2 hrs).
❑ One meeting to discuss the findings of the floodplain modeling (dale
Stein and Dawn Gladwell - 2 hrs).
2. Review of Boxelder Ploodplain
❑ Provide a cursory review of the proposed construction along E. Prospect
Road to better quantify the impacts to the 100-year floodwaylfloodplain
from Summit View Drive to the Boxelder Creek.
❑ Incorporate the proposed grading into the existing floodplain conditions
model (Designer -12hr, Project Engineer- 3hr)
u Compare proposed conditions to existing conditions model to quantify
impact. (Designer - 2 hr)
❑ Determine impact mitigation approach and relative feasibility. (Project
Engineer -1 hr)
