ADDENDUM No. 2
SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Bid No. 5841 Poudre Trail Fence - West of Taft Hill Road
OPENING DATE: March 22, 2004 – 3:30pm. (Our Clock)
To all prospective bidders under the specification and contract documents described above, the
following changes are hereby made.
GENERAL CLARIFICATION
1. CONTRACTOR has the option of setting the wooden fence posts in concrete or driving the posts
directly into undisturbed ground. Wood posts may be driven in place if the method of driving does
not damage the post.
2. Grounding rods are required per Contract documents.
3. Bid Item #4 – Open Space Fence with Fabric: The fabric for this fence is hereby revised to forty-
seven inch (47”) field fence.
4. Bid Item #6 – Fence Demolition: Metal fence posts, along the Open Space fence portion of the
project, are to be salvaged and placed into a pile adjacent to the location of the PROPOSED Open
Space fencing location. The adjacent property owner wants the metal T-posts back.
5. A new bid item has been added to the bid schedule, (Bid Item #7 – Tree Removal: 3 ea.). The
description of the item is as follows and a revised bid schedule is attached.

SECTION 2830 SUPPLEMENTARY CONDTIONS
Section 3.01 – is hereby revised to include the following: CONTRACTOR has the option of setting the

DIVISION 1, SECTION 01800 - DEFINITION OF BID ITEMS
Bid Item #6 – Fence Demolition: Metal fence posts, along the Open Space fence portion of the project,
are to be salvaged and placed into a pile adjacent to the location of the PROPOSED Open
Space fencing location. The adjacent property owner wants the metal T-posts back.
Bid Item #7 - Tree Removal
Contractor shall provide all material, labor, and equipment necessary to remove, haul and
dispose of any tree or multi-trunk tree with a total trunk diameter of 18” or less that exists
along the alignment of the proposed fencing locations. Contractor must field verify the tree
to be removed with the ENGINEER prior to removing the tree.
