This Section covers specififc requireauents for the fu rnishmS of all labor, equ#=ent, and materials necessary for the insWUti,on of all pe+n w*mt grounding of all steel structures, fenm, gates, and buildings as indicated on the drawings and as spedfed_below. Contractor shall furnish all required Cadweld, equipment, and materials as specified herein and as i►idical ed on the drawings. 2G.4 Antennas shall be relocated or modified as directed by the Owner. Casts and expelvses incurred by the Contractor in pursuit of such relocations and/or modifim6naes shall be paid in accorclaxim with Article GC.19. 2G.5 MU§ All fences within the right-of-way, and. parallel fences within 200 feet of the transmission Bate oenterline, shall be grounded as specified and indicated on the drawings. Mectric fences that cuss the centerline at an angle of less than 45 degrees, shalt be grounded at one point on centerline by means of a 60-hertz fence filter Electric fences that cross the centerline at an angle greater than 45 degrees, shall not be grounded. Parallel electric fences shall be grounded at intervals directed by the Owner. The ground wire shah be interwoven with the fence wires except on electric fences. All gates within the right -of way, and those in parallel fences within 200 feet of the tramsmission line centerline, shall be grounded as indicated on the drawings and per ANSI C2. 2G.7 I iJII.17lNGS. All metal bw'ldinp, roofs, gutters, whidmiUs, or other stationary objects, if any, within the right-of-way shall be grounded as indicated or, in special instances, in accordance with the Owner's directive. 2G.8 WORK ODUME a TRA 'TQ- IG .pAWAX. The Ctmtractor shall rwt install any grounds on fences, gates, buildings, wutdnift and other objects outside of the tranmcdsdon line I%ht-of-way without specific written moons from the Owner. 2G.9 INSP'I G TON. 'l'he Contractor shall not ba ldM any trenches or excavations for grounding umwits before the Owner has verified that all Work has been completed and accqft 2G.10 ANCB TMTS. Contractor, in the presence of the Owner, shall measure the resistance of all structure grounds by the 3-point fall of potential method with a minimum of three measurements being taken at different distances from the current probe. Maximum resistance shall be no greater than 15 ohms when all grounds have been installed and connected by temporary jumpers so that the grounds may be tested as a system. Additional ground rod extension units shall be installed when necessary at each foundation as indicated on the Contract Drawings until either a all ucture ground redsUmce not greater than 15 ohms is achieved or a total of four ground rod extension units have been installed. The ground resistance test shall be completed prior to cx wecting grounds to the Wacture. 2G.11 WASUREMEW AND PAYMHVT. Payment will be made at the Unit Pdces in the Basis of Contract Award after Owner has received the test reports in accordance with 2G.10 and that suf6dent.ground rods have been installed and the Work is completed, Cost for all testing shawl be included in the unit price.
