WE HEREBY ENTER OUR BID FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS REQUIREMENTS FOR
FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AT FIRE STATION #3 PER THE BID INVITATION AND ANY
REFERENCED SPECIFICATIONS:
The City Of Fort Collins is requesting bids for a fin: sprinkler system for Station #3 located at
2000 Mathews, Ft Collins, CO. per the attached specifications. Contractor must fumish all labor,
materials , equipment and permits for a complete job.

A pre -bid will be held at the site on March 10, 2004 at 10:00 am.

Attached, please fG d our Proposal Exhibit for the above referenced project. We trust this document will provide a dear
representation of the Fire Protection work provided M our lump sum proposal of 33,621.00 (Thirty Three Thousand stir
Hundred Twenty One DoBsm).
Scope keluded:
• Provide all design, materials, and Installation required to knstall a lire sprinkler system. This proposal complies with all
applicable local, stab and national odes Including minimum NFPA 13 guidelines for wet pipe systems, and the bid
specifications.
• Point of connection to be a 6' tap with In W of bukding provided by others.
• Scope of work is limited to the Installation of an anti freeze system installed in the attic area, designed and drretelled to the
minimum requirements of the 2002, NFPA 13.
• The design density to be Light Hazard (.10/1500 sq ft) In the attic and residential areas, and Ordinary Hazard occupancy (A 5
and/or .20/1500 eq ft) In the apparatus bay per mh*num NFPA 13-2002 requirements (Utilizing standard and/or extended
coverage sprinklers).
• Pendant sprinklers within ceilings will utilize extended drop nipples and/or flexible pipe connections.
• Bid is valid for 45 days and includes all permit fees, applicable taxes, and our standard one-year warranty.

• Cutting and patchkq of ceilings. Pricing is predicated on dear unobstructed access (trenching) to above oeitirg area

• Preparation and/or pakrting of sprinkler pipkg system hangers and/or components, pipe identification and valve tags.
• Centerline, quarter point and alignment placement of sprinkler has& within calling areas.
• Special sprinkler head placement for architectural and aesthetic considerations.
• SlmplexGrbnnefi will maintain a dean and sate work area; therefore a composite cleaning crew is not required.
• Shift premium, special wage requirements (HUD, Devie/Becon), ROCIP, certified payroll, and DBE/MBE participation.
• 1 'its' Fire hose rack assemblies, extinguisher cabinets, and temporary protection p.e. site fire extinguishers, aim).
• Specific design densities and other requirements In addition to NFPA 13-2002 0.e. Owners insurers, Factory Mutual, etc.).
• The crew size will be determined by SimpkmGrinnell to not finder the progress of the construction schedule. A continuous
work schedule is to be maintained with standard working hours Q.e. 40-hours Mfi). Should the schedule be compressed
and/or acoeleraW, from no fault of our own, we will expect to be compensated for all lost time and/or overtime worked.

• Pricing Is predicated on the material fabrication occurring within 60 days of this proposal; otherwise the material may be
subject to steel escalation increases.
• Hag is to be maintained, by others, above 40 degrees during installation and continuously once hydroetallc testing he* been
performed to protect from freezing.
• AN CAD Drawings (IA. CWN, Architectural, Structural, M.E.P., etc.) are to be made available at no charge for
backgrounds. Any additional fees for cornpensation of time drawings will add to our proposal.
