WE HEREBY ENTER OUR BID FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS REQUIREMENTS FOR
FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM AT FIRE STATION 93 PER THE BID INVITATION AND ANY
REFERENCED SPECIFICATIONS:
The City Of Fort Collins is requesting bids for a fire sprinkler system for Station #3 located at
2000 Mathews, Ft Collins, CO, per the attached specifications. Contractor must fumish all labor,
materials , equipment and permits for a complete job.

Any purchasing questions regarding this bid should be directed to John Stephen, CPPO, CPPB,
Senior Buyer at (970) 221 -6775.
A pre -bid will be held at the site on March 10, 2004 at 10:00 am.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide your company with pricing for the above referenced project. The price has
been based on the below scope inclusions/exclusions.
Antifreeze type NFPA 13 Fire sprinkler system for Fire station, V underground into building
from street, monitoring panel (dialer) in riser room
Induded :
1. The system would be installed to the latest version of NFPA 13 and to meet all local codes pertaining to the
mentioned standard
2. Material and installation based on minimum requirements of NFPA 13 and specifications — Dynathread and
Dynaflow pipe, C.T. and grooved fittings, and semi recessed chrome sprinklers
3. Light Hazard Occupancy .10 gpm/sq.ft design basis for residential portion, Ordinary Gp. 2 for Apparatus Bay
4. Design and Shop Drawings
5. Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventer
6. Permits and plan check fees
7. Antifreeze system throughout
8. Expansion Tank
9. 4" Underground into building (not 6" as specified), run on South side of building from 6" main in
grass on West side of building per underground plan dated 7/9/04
10. Silent Knight dialer monitoring flow and tamper switches
11. One year warranty for system
Exclusions:
1. Alarms, Detection, Remote Annunciator
2. Monthly monitoring fees
3. Payment and Performance Bonds
2. Head Guards
3. Electrical control or power wiring — 110 V. dedicated circuit required at dialer panel by others
4. 2 phone lines, at least 1 dedicated, at dialer location ( by others)
5. Kitchen Hood System or extinguishers
6. TRI, Factory Mutual, or other HRP insurers requirements more stringent than NFPA standard(s) cited above
7. High piled, rack storage, flammable liquids storage or spraying occupancies
8. Off hours or night work
9. Restoration of landscaping, lawn sprinkler repair, resod or seeding, pavement markings
10. Removal of bedrock from excavation
11. Painting of pipe or accessories
12. Centerline of Tile sprinkler placement
13. Asbestos abatement, or working under asbestos containment area

Fiow Fire protection, Inc.
toualifications:
1. Scope and pricing is based on the following minimum water supply:
Static: 75 psi
Residual : 70 psi at 1200 gpm flow
2. Hanger materials and installation per NFPA standards
3. Work scope to start at street connection.
4. Pricing assumes two mobilizations on project — 1 rough in, 1 trim out and test.
5. Underground Fire Water Supply to be flushed, hydrotested, and chlorinated per all applicable standards by others
before connection by Flow Fire Protection
6. Flow Fire Protection anticipates this project to have a duration of approximately 6 months. If unforeseen delays
causes the project to extend to a later time period, Flow Fire reserves the right to submit for additional
compensation for increased material and labor costs.
