Enclosed is the sealed bid for the above referenced bid. Peachtree Telecommunications
has provided accompanying spec sheets for the product quoted. The Alcatel product
quoted exceeds all specifications. I am providing the following explanation on several
references in the bid:
Color Coding
The Alcatel fiber quote are "Colorlock" fibers. The fibers are colored during the fiber
manufacturing phase. NO painting is necessary. The "Colorlock" process is the
equalivant of the D-LUX coating. The spec, in the case, exceeds the requirements.
Length marking:
The Alcatel fiber is marked every two feet instead of every five feet. This exceeds the
spec as well.
Maximum Attenuation:
The attenuation exceeds the spec as well with a 1310 range of .34/.35 instead of .4 and
1550 range of .2/.25 instead of .3 db per km..
Fiber is match clad per spec. The jacket is dielectric per spec and ISO 9001 certified.
I have also attached the WMBE certification for Peachtree Telecommunications.
If you have any questions please call me. Thank you for the opportunity to quote the Ft.
Collins project.
