CO 80526 "Business By The Golden Rule" 970-225-0294 SIX VERY GOOD REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE: R&D VENDING vs. Daily Service - machines serviced and filled daily! " Fresh Products - Inventory purchased daily and stocked in machines same day to keep products fresh, Never Stale! " Quality Name Brand Merchandise - Always Top of the Line! Hershey, Frito Lay, Hostess! " New High Performance Machines - Every machine set is Brand New and has its own Dollar Bill Changer! " Customer Service - every day! Verified through our references and their employees THERE IS A DIFFERENCEI!!! In eight years we have never lost a client! Down Time - average refund over the last 6 months is $.02 cents per account per month. In last 6 months one machine was down for only 2 hours. COMPETITORS Once a week and sometimes twice a month. Inventory bought in bulk and warehoused often up to the stale date of the product. All to often purchase off Brands, On Sale Items or from Thrift Stores in order to increase profit margin. Lacks quality and freshness. Old machines set with no ability to make change for a dollar. Often set numerous machines at a location so they only have to stop once a week or twice a month. No client / vendor or employee relationship is built. Seldom know the vendor has been on site to stock the machines. Almost NEVER asks the client if they are having any problems, usually afraid of the answer. Response time to service call averages about two days, and many times several weeks. Refund average believe it or not is $9.58 per month per account. R & D VLADING "Business By The Golden Rule" ROGER SORENSEN 2300 Silver Trails Fort Collins, CO 80526 970-225-0294 A) R&D Vending is a Sole Proprietorship and has been in business for over eight years. It is owned and operated by myself, Roger Sorensen. I have one employee that works along side of me on the route. I service approximately 3000 employees per day. As far as I am aware, I am the only Vending Company in Colorado that services all of my clients daily. My clients have at least 100 employees, and the largest has 900. 1 operate the business directly. B) My background resume includes: Parks Department City of Greeley - Greeley Colorado Electrician - Fort Collins Colorado Owner Operator of Roller Skating Rinks - Kansas City Loan Originator for Home Federal - Fort Collins Colorado Marketing Director for National Credit Reporting Agency - Fort Collins Colorado Operations Director for National Credit Reporting Agency - Fort Collins Colorado R&D Vending - Northern Colorado C) EPIC Center Pop - Snack - Coffee - Video Machines 2.5 years Mike McDonnell 221-6683 Mulberry Pool Pop - Snack 1.5 years Janet Bielmaier 221-6202 PCA (Windsor) Pop - Snack - Coffee - Food 2.5 years Belynda 686-8647 D) E) R & D VLADING "Business By The Golden Rule" I am proposing: ROGER SORENSEN 2300 Silver Trails Fort Collins, CO 80526 970-225-0294 1 - Pop Machine 1 -Juice Machine 1 - Snack Machine (Candy, Hostess, Chips Only) (No hot or cold food machines) To be located on the first floor only of the New City Building. Experience has taught me that anything more than this would not net out a profit. The above is approx. $9000 worth of equipment. Based on the type of employee and the number of employees, the machines would maybe average $.24 per person per day. That would be a gross of about $34 per day. Subtract out costs, and you have a net of approx. $10 per day or $200 per month. That means it would take around 4 years to break even. I would need a 5 year contract to make any money. I am proposing NO equipment at the DTC Center. Based on the above calculations, I would be looking at netting out $.50 per day or $10 per month. Equipment would cost approx. $5500. It would take 46 years to pay for the equipment before I could make a profit. Pricing: 5% Commission 10% Commission 19% Commission 12 oz Pop $.65 $.70 $.75 12oz Juice $1.10 $1.15 $1.25 20 oz Fruitopia $1.40 $1.45 $1.50 16 oz Stewarts $1.20 $1.25 $1.35 Gatorade $1.10 $1.15 $1.25 Candy $.65 $.70 $.75 Hostess $1.10 $1.15 $1.25 Chips $.65 $.70 $.75 I am proposing no restrictions on pricing due to economic conditions. Controlling prices on a vendor, only results in poor service. R & D VLADING "Business By The Golden Rule" ROGER SORENSEN 2800 Silver Trails Fort Collins, CO 80526 970-225-0294 F) Commissions shall be calculated on gross sales minus sales tax. Commissions are paid monthly by the 7th. Commissions rate can be selected by City Representative from Section E, based on what would be best for them. G) A monthly report showing gross sales for: Pop and Juice Combined Snacks Totals would be added together, and commissions calculated from the total gross minus sales tax. No additional yearly report would be necessary since the City would have a monthly record. H) City is already showing on Liability Insurance as Loss Payee. 1) R&D Vending needs 14 days from the date of acceptance to install equipment. Equipment needs to be purchased, and arrangements made for the setting of equipment. It is possible equipment could be set anytime during the 14 day period, depending on availability of personnel to set equipment. J) All City, State, and Federal Fees, Taxes and Permits Are paid and current.
