RE: Bid #5836 — References specific to metal building construction
As I mentioned in our phone conversation, most of our metal building construction was
do in earlier years. The larger projects were for CDOT in the late 1970's to early 1980's.
Several of the equipment storage buildings have been moved or demolished and all of my
CDOT contacts have retired.
From 1970 to 1972 I erected metal buildings and grain storage facilities for Cassens' Mill
at the different at three mill locations. There was a two story addition to the main feed
store and granary, a fertilizer storage building, a driers in Sigourney. There were two
buildings and two storage bins in Thornburg, and a new store complex in Keswick.

In 1974 I erected maintenance shop for Colorado Pipelines in Commerce City. The
company was later renamed a Nelson Pipeline and the building is now part of the BFI
trash transfer station north of I-270 and Colorado Blvd.
Floyd Oliver & Lee Nelson, both retired
From 1980 to 1984 I erected six metal buildings for CDOT. Two were temporary
construction buildings used to stage the construction of the Colfax Viaduct.

More recently (1986) I helped erect a kiosk on the east side of the CSU Student Center,
which has been removed. Manny Knard funded the project with student fees. I also
supervised the construction of the Viet Nam Memorial Bridge west of the Student Center
in 1993.
