Qualified bidder must be doing business under the present business name for the past three consecutive years. B. Qualified bidder will supply with bid, 3 references specific to metal building construction. References must include contact name, date when work was completed and type of work. C. Qualified bidder shall have sufficient manpower and equipment to accomplish said work in the required time. D. The Owner may make such investigation as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work and the bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data as is reasonably required for this purpose. The Owner reserves the right to disqualify any bid if the evidence resulting from the Owners investigation shows, in the opinion of the Owner, that the bidder is not properly qualified to prosecute the work described herein. E. Failure to meet the agreed upon milestones, mobilize to the area the after notice to proceed is issued, or fully complete the work by April 24, 2004 shall result in damages assessed against the Contractor. At the City's option, liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day may be retained from any monies due the Contractor, or the City may retain an additional contractor(s) to complete the work, or portion thereof, and retain any costs incurred above and beyond the bid prices of the Contractor from any monies due the Contractor in lieu of liquidated damages. Stormy Peaks Construction has been contracted to do various other metal fabrication projects in the past other than "buildings" and is very competent when working with steel fabrication. A. Model # of Skylark Shelter should be Apex SP-29 which has columns on 26 foot centers. B. There will be no temporary power at the shelters. Contractor should plan on using generators. C. The staging areas will be on grass adjacent to the shelters. D. The contractor will be responsible for landscaping and Inigation damage for areas outside of the designated staging area and route. City will be responsible for areas in the staging area and designated route. E. Any damage to concrete (walks, curb & gutter) wail be the responsibility of the contractor. F. Contactor will be responsible for obtaining the permit but the fees win be paid by the City (Parks Dept). G. Contractor will be responsible for any special inspection required by the City Building Dept for steel structure/foundation. H. City contractor will do the open hole/soils Inspection. I. City will provide site plan, legal description and electrical plan. Contractor will need to supply any other documentation. J. Site verification Is not required from Stormwater Dept. K. Restroom facilities will not be evadable. Contractor will need to make own provisions. L. if water is turned back on in the playground restroom, it will be available.
