MASTER CONTROL SCREEN The Master Control Screen (MCS) shall be provided to allow the Range Master to monitor and communicate with the Dynamic One"4 Drive Units at the shooting positions. The Main Control Screen shall have all the necessary control functions for total control and monitoring of the system. The display shall be of a touch -sensitive type for direct command entry without the use of a keyboard or mouse. The LCD display shall provide for fully descriptive pages composed of text and graphics. There shall be a provision in the programming of the MCS to allow the Range Master to set up as many as 100 shooting scenarios and to download a scenario to the Local Control Screens, individually or all simultaneously. All programming information for the pages displayed on the MCS shall be stored in non-volatile EPROM memory in the Master Control Screen. All programming information for the shooting scenarios shall be stored in the Control Host CPU. The system shall incorporate provisions for site -specific alarm indicators for the Master Control Screen that can be programmed to alert range control personnel to problems within the range and system. The display shall be of a backlft electroluminescent design to provide a wide viewing angle and be water-resistant to NEMA 4 standards. The display shall incorporate an audible tone to acknowledge receipt of a command (can be disabled). The MCS shall feature a sleep function to turn off the display after 60 minutes of no activity. The MCS shall communicate with the Host Unit with one 5 conductor cable. The MCS touch screen shall be mounted in a slope front countertop housing fabricated of 16 gauge steel, finished in a textured black baked -on epoxy paint. The Local Control Screen (LCS) shall be capable of controlling the local position and also of duplicating key functions of the Master Control Screen (MCS). It shall be possible to download a shooting scenario to the position from the control host on demand. These scenarios shall consist of screens of user-friendly instructions and information. The LCD display shall provide for 4 lines of 20 characters and shall be programmed with data and commands. The eighteen -button membrane keypad shall permit input of parameters and data specific to the scenario in effect. Keys shall be provided for entry of numbers, for cursor control and there shall be four keys adjacent to the screen for software assigned functions. It shall be possible to monitor the system diagnostics at the local screen using maintenance and set-up screens. It shall be possible to password protect the maintenance screens. The mounting of the local control station shall be site specific. The carrier shall be totally enclosed to prevent debris from getting inside. The target carrier shall have an AR500 front ballistic plate and the body of the carrier shall be made of 11- gauge mild steel. The carrier shall incorporate a halogen lamp assembly with the lamp aimed to illuminate the target. The illumination shall be under the control of the LCS or MCS. The lamp control shall incorporate a transparent lamp switchover circuit in the event that a lamp fails. In the model 200 TCR incorporating a turning mechanism, there shall be a projectile raceway over the turning motor to prevent damage. The Drive Unit components shall be mounted on an 11 gauge steel platform and enclosed in an ABS hinged removable molded cover. The Drive Unit shall house the following components; drive motor, variable speed motor drive module, CPU, UUCSA rated CPU power supply module, communications module (in hosted systems) and main interface printed circuit board with power supply. The major components shall be plug-in for ease of maintenance. The variable frequency drive motor shall provide ramped acceleration and deceleration with electronic braking. With the addition of the communications module, it shall have the facilities to communicate with the Master Control Screen in hosted systems through a high-speed data network. The target carrier downrange positioning and calibration functions shall be managed from within the Drive Unit. The target carrier positioning calibration shall be performed automatically each time it is returned to the home position. The Drive Unit shall not require down range sensors. The Drive Unit enclosure shall have a filtered fan to provide positive pressure in the housing. The Drive Unit shall operate on 220 VAC, 60 Hz with neutral and ground. Mancom proposes to fabricate, ship and install the following components: ■ 12- Dynamic OneTm drive units including 1/2hp motor, industrial grade CPU, variable speed drive controller, interface board and power supply ■ 12- Model Y-2000 lighted and 360-degree turning target carriers ■ 12- lengths of carrier AccutracTu each being 25 yards with 12 starter sections and copper buss bar for motor and light activation • 12- TouchPluim local control screens to be suspended from the firing line safety ceiling ■ 1- Master Control Screen capable of storing up to 100 individual training scenarios ■ 12- target track hanger extensions for the two additional shooting lanes ■ One year Warranty on parts and material ■ Training for all personnel designated by the Fort Collins Police (minimum 1 day) • 2- Copies of the Operating and Maintenance Manuals ■ Customer support and technical assistance for the life of the equipment Optional Items: ■ Floor mounted single running man target system, 50 feet wide. System will be installed on the range floor in front of the bullet trap. This is required due to the lack of necessary clearance between the end of the target retrieval tracks and the top of the bullet trap. Full functionality is available at the local screen, including target travel, target rotation, timed target exposures and programmed operation. The master control screen enables the user to have complete control of the range, optional peripherals and individual shooting positions. Up to 99 different scenarios can be stored in a non-volatile ram protected system and viewed from the main screen. Shooting scenario programs can be downloaded to individual positions for enhanced shooter challenges.
