pursuance of and subject to all the terms and conditions of the Invitation
-to Bid and Instructions to Bidders, the Agreement, the detailed

Project Overview:
Edward Kraemer & Sons will construct twin, 17-span bridges across the
Missouri River as a part of the Page Avenue Extension Project that will
relieve congestion on I-70 in St. Louis. EKS constructed two, 600-foot-
long tied arches used for the main spans. Each arch was constructed on a
temporary platform, and floated into place above the navigational channel
of the river.
The superstructure consists of ten spans of pre -stressed concrete girders,
six spans of steel plate girders and the tied arches. EKS is also responsible
for the concrete decks and approaches.
The completed bridge will span approximately 3,200 feet.

EKS constructed this steel and concrete pedestrian bridge across Highway 82 near Aspen, CO. The single span
structure was built in three sections at the staging area and then erected onto two temporary piers, which were
removed after bolt -up operations were complete. A concrete deck was poured for the final surfacing.
This project presented challenges with regards to the volume of vehicular traffic and access.

Construction of the Clear Creek Pedestrian Bridge and trails at Gold Site Park in Arvada,
Colorado. The four hundred foot structure consists of two cable stay spans at one hundred
and twelve feet each and five cast -in -place approach spans varying from twenty-four feet to
thirty-seven feet. The superstructure is supported by sixteen stay cables, which are
supported by a one hundred foot tall mast resting on top of a twenty-one foot tall pier. The
mast pier transforms from a seventeen feet diameter circle at its base to an eight foot by
fifteen -foot oval at the top. The foundation for the mast pier is at the edge of Clear Creek and
is founded on four forty-eight inch caissons. The approach spans rest a top variable
thickness tapered piers ranging in height from six feet to fourteen feet.
The bridge is connected to the Clear Creek pedestrian trail by concrete sidewalks, which
wind along the creek and through Gold Site Park.
Construction of this project started in February of 2001 and completed in October 2001.

Construction of a cable -stayed pedestrian bridge which extends the 16"' St. Pedestrian Mall
over the Consolidated Main Line (CML) Railroad lines and into the newly opened Riverfront
Park residential development. The Bridge deck spans approximately 130' and is an average of
80' wide. A 200' high inclined and tapered steel mast rises up on the City side of the bridge.
The cantilever deck is supported by high strength steel cables, which pick up the vertical deck
loads and transmit the forces back through the mast to the back stay cables.
At each end of the bridge there is a glass clad elevator that connects to the bridge with exotic
wood ("Pau Lope") platforms. The staircase on the city side is a reinforced concrete structural
stair, while the Park Side staircase is a structural steel stair. The plaza areas on both sides of
• the bridge consist of granite paving, granite walls, masonry walls, landscaped areas, and
various site furniture items.

other respects perform the Agreement created by the acceptance of said Bid,
then this obligation shall be void; otherwise the same shall remain in

This disclosure notice is required by the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 (the
"Act"). No action is required on your part. This Disclosure Notice is incorporated in

You should know that, effective November 26, 2002, any losses covered by the
attached bond that are caused by certified acts of terrorism would be partially
reimbursed by the United States under a formula established by the Act. Under this
formula, the United States reimburses 90% of covered terrorism losses exceeding
the statutorily established deductible paid by the insurance company providing the
coverage.
Under the Act, there is a cap on our liability to pay for covered terrorism losses if the
aggregate amount of insured losses under the Act exceeds $100,000,000,000 during
the applicable period for all insureds and all insurers combined. In that case, we will
