The City of Fort Collins Soft Gold Park project is located at 520 Hickory Street,
approximately one -quarter (1/4) mile west of College Avenue on Hickory Street, Fort
Collins, Colorado. The Work for the project includes earthwork grading; regulated
stormwater drainage improvements; installation of water, sewer and electrical utilities;
restroom; picnic shelter; plaza; playground (including concrete curb, and safety
surfacing), baseball field, dog park, bicycle course, parking lot, soil preparation and fine
grading, irrigation; landscaping, boulders, site furnishings and miscellaneous items of
work. The site is approximately 17 acres in size of which approximately 11 acres will be
disturbed and constructed upon.
VI. HIGHLIGHTS FROM GENERAL CONDITIONS AND GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS
Electronic File for Earthwork Gradine — will be made available upon request
Superintendents - General Contractor is required to provide a designated full time
superintendent on site at all times that Work is progressing.
Liquidated Damages -As defined in the Agreement Section 00520.
Warranty — City has a two-year warranty period
Construction Hours - 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except legal Holidays.
Weekend work and Night work may be allowed on a limited basis to
construct improvements to take advantage of favorable weather
conditions.
Construction Surveying - Provided by Contractor.
Geotechnical and Materials Testing - Provided by Owner.
Project Meetine - Once a week, to be determined.
Progress and Schedule Revisions - Schedules shall be updated weekly.

VIII. TRAFFIC CONTROL AND WORK AREA SAFETY
Traffic Control for the project will be Paid for Lump Sum and will include all costs for all
traffic control associated with the project.
The Contractor shall provide, at Contractors expense, all work area safety control devices, such
as barricades and safety fence around all excavations, trenches, and drop-offs.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM PLANS & TECHNICAL SPECS
• Utility extensions in the R.O.W. (Water, Sewer, Stone) —All work subject to current City Street Standards
for installation and approval. Inspections by COFC Engineering & PPD
• Site excavation & disturbance limits
• Water Quality Pond and Erosion Control Requirements
• Building Permits — To be under Contractor's name, but fees paid by City PP&D
• Bicycle course — earth embankment with detailed shaping
• Core Area Artistic Scoring Pattern— has unique and specific scoring pattern. Joints to be tooled. OWNER
rep to be on site during layout and cutting.
• Soil Amendment rate is 6 C.Y. per 1000 s.f in all areas of irrigated turf, per section 02920, 3.01.
• Earthwork and Grading requirements —Give particular attention to sections 01000, 1.16 and 02310. All
grading will be expected to meet these requirements.
