Thank you for showing your continued confidence in HPM by offering to extend
our contract with the City for another year, with regard to our agreement, section
4, HPM requests a labor increase equal to the Denver- Boulder CPI-U (1.6%) for
the coming year.
The justification is as follows: This year (2003) our certified journeymen service
technicians received a $1.50 per hour raise in their benefit package. In 2004
they are scheduled to receive a pay increase of an additional $1.60 per hour.
This labor cost increase is mandated by the collective bargaining process.
Additionally, our building rent is going up as well as our insurance and other
costs of doing business.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this 1.6% increase.
Sincerely,
