SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of Proposal: Concessionaire: Southridge Golf Course Restaurant/Snack Bar; P-649
OPENING DATE: November 19, 1997
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above, the
following changes are hereby made:

Clarification: Concession and Revenues, Page 3 of 5
On Page 3 of 5 in the "Concession and Revenues" section, the 5th paragraph briefly discusses the
responsibility of the Concessionaire to assume and perform all janitorial duties and functions in the
Restaurant/Snack Bar area and Bunker House, etc. This is a new responsibility of the
Concessionaire starting in 1998.
Previously, the City Golf Division paid a staff member from the existing Concessionaire an hourly
wage to perform said janitorial duties and functions, especially in the restrooms. The City paid this
individual roughly $7,700 in 1997 in hourly wages, plus FICA and Worker's Compensation. Various
employees of the Concessionaire would actually perform the janitorial work, being compensated
by the Concessionaire. In addition, the City Golf Division separately purchased all janitorial supplies
for use by the Concessionaire, including toilet paper, soaps, disinfectants, towels, mops, brushes,
vacuum cleaner, bags, repairs, etc.
The City Golf Division decided to not continue this practice once the existing Concessionaire
Agreement expires. As noted in the 5th paragraph on Page 3 of 5, whoever becomes the
Concessionaire will assume and perform all janitorial duties and functions, at their cost for labor.
The City Golf Division will still purchase all supplies and materials necessary for the Concessionaire
to perform this work, but the City will no longer pay the Concessionaire for this service as we have
done in the past.
Therefore, anyone submitting a Proposal must understand that effectively the existing
Concessionaire received a cash payment from the City to perform the janitorial duties and
functions, and this practice will cease starting in 1998. This information should be taken into
account when you submit your Proposal that any flat -rate fee amount, percentage amount, or
in -kind contribution that you may propose to us includes your costs to now perform all janitorial
duties and functions, as noted on Page 3 of 5.
RECEIPT OF THIS ADDENDUM MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A WRITTEN STATEMENT
ENCLOSED WITH THE BID/QUOTE STATING THAT THIS ADDENDUM HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
