I am requesting a cost of expense increase. The following information was taken from my expenses. When I received an increase at the beginning of 2001, diesel fuel was costing an average of $1.32 a gal. As you are aware, this raised to $1.60 a gal. through the busiest time of the work year. Although it declined the last part of the year, when we were not working, it is now on the way up again. That was an 18% increase. Oil and grease went up accordingly. As we started the year 2001, the rate for repairs and maintenance to the truck jumped 14% and at the end of 2001 it jumped another 7%. Parts also took about a 10% jump. From 2001 to 2002, the truck insurance raised 4%. Part of the truck operation is my shop expenses. The taxes raised 20% from 2001 to 2002. All the utilities also went up from 2% to 6%. And of course, everything I buy after expenses has risen. Any cost increase in my bid would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Ile Chuck Hoffman
