Collins, CO 80525 Re: Hauling Bid #5491 Dear Jimmy, The City of Fort Collins has reviewed your request to increase your price per hour for Hauling for the City. Under item 2 from the Service Agreement, pricing changes must be negotiated by and agreed to by both parties. The City has done a survey with local Fort Collins contractors to determine the actual cost per hour for independent hauling. The range is from $42.00 per hour to $45.00 per hour with the bulk of the work averaging $44.50 per hour. To establish a fair rate for all of the City Hauling contractors, we have determined that any existing 2000 contract prices of $45.00 or over, will not receive the requested CPI-U increase of 3.6%. You requested an increase for your truck which had a 2000 contract price of $46.00. Since that rate of $46.00 is already a competitive and fair rate, we are not allowing your increase of $1.66 per hour.
