DRAFT SCOPE OF WORK
SOFT GOLD PARK DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL PLAN
FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
This Scope of Work has been prepared assuming that all site facilities and grading
associated with the proposed Soft Gold Park will be designed by the City of Fort Collins
Park Planning and Development Department and provided as basis for Anderson
Consulting Engineers' (ACE) analyses. This excludes any site grading associated with
drainage improvements required for the site. Additional work effort due to any changes
to the final site and/or grading plans after ACE has commenced work is specifically
excluded from this Scope.
ACE proposes to complete all work items associated with Tasks I through 4 by
May 23`d, 2003 or within 4 weeks after receiving the final grading and site plan,
whichever is later. Scheduling the work effort associated with Task 5 will be determined
once final review comments are provided by the City.
Task 1. Data Collection and Review
information pertinent to the completion of a drainage and erosion control plan for
the proposed Soft Gold Park will be gathered and reviewed. Discussions will be
held with the City of Fort Collins Staff to define project requirements and details
associated with the available information. This task will also include field
reconnaissance efforts, as required, to familiarize project staff with the study area.
Task 2. Hydrologic Analysis/Drainage Plan
Two hydrologic models (pre- and post -project) will be prepared for the area
encompassed by the proposed project, and any area tributary to the project site.
The hydrologic modeling effort will be conducted using MODSWMM. The pre -
project hydrologic analysis will be conducted to determine not only the off -site
flows which need to be passed through the proposed park, but the 2-year historic
release from the project site which will be used in the determination of on -site
detention requirements. The post -project hydrologic analysis will be conducted to
verify that the proposed improvements fulfill the drainage requirements set forth
by the City of Fort Collins assuming the project has been completed.
In addition to the on -site detention requirements provided to reduce the peak 100-
year on -site discharge to a 2-year historic level; a storm water quality component
will be sized and implemented as part of this task.

for the drainage improvements and will be provided to the City of Fort Collins
Park Planning and Development Department for use in their final design plans.
Task 3. Erosion Control Plan
An erosion control plan sheet will be prepared documenting all necessary erosion
control features required by the project during construction. This sheet will
include any design details for the erosion control measures and will be provided
to the City of Fort Collins Park Planning and Development Department for use in
their final design plans.
Task 4. Drainage and Erosion Control Report
A drainage and erosion control report, meeting City of Fort Collins requirements,
will be prepared documenting the hydrologic analyses and the erosion control
plan. The report will include all requisite backup and modeling documentation.
Task 5. Addressing and Responding to City Review Comments
All comments generated by the City of Fort Collins will be investigated and
addressed either as changes to the drainage and erosion control report and/or
sheets or via communication/clarification with City Staff. Up to two rounds of
review comments are included as part of this task. Additional review comments
generated by the City after two rounds have been completed are specifically
excluded from this Scope of Work.
