HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESPONSE - BID - 5762 PUMPING PLANT RENOVATION AT CITY PARK (3)CITY OF FORT COLLINS BID PROPOSAL BID #5762 BID OPENING: FEBRUARY 3. 2003, 3:00 p.m. (our clock) WE HEREBY ENTER OUR BID FOR THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS' REQUIREMENTS FOR PUMPING PLANT RENOVATION AT CITY PARK PER THE BID INVITATION AND ANY REFERENCED SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS: The City of Fort Collins Parks Department is requesting bids for retrofitting an existing pumping station with a variable speed drive system. Work at City Park must be completed 60 days after receiving notice to proceed. The successful bidder must enter into the attached services agreement and supply proof of insurance "Exhibit B" as requested. A Mandatory pre -bid meeting will be held at City Park, 1500 W. Mulberry, Fort Collins on January 21, 2003 at 10:00 am. Meet at the City Park Pool located at intersection of Bryan and City Park Drive. Specification Clarifications City Park Renovation Ft Collins Bid Number: # 5762 Section Number: 02815 Specification: All control wiring carrying more then 24 volts, shall be 16 gauge minimum. Metron: The smallest that THW, and TH" comes in is 14 gauge, and because of this, anything requiring smaller wire sizes will be supplied in MTW. Specification: Automatic bypass of the PC shall be provided to permit operation of pumps in the HAND position if the PC fails. Metron: Our standard is for Manual bypass of the PLC, which will allow the operation of the pumps in the hand position. This is a similar process to what is in the specification requiring manual switching to the hand position. Specification: The interface shall include an alphanumeric keypad with audible key press feedback and a 2 line x 80 character, high visibility, backlit, LCD display. Metron: Our standard, Siemens OP-7, does not have the audible key press feedback and is 4 x 20-character display. Specification: The interface shall also include 12 function keys with custom labels. Metron: Our standard, Siemens OP-7, only needs 8 function keys for system configuration, and is not needed for station operation. Specification: A set of high speed, current -limiting fuses shall be provided. Metron: Our standard is a dual element -time delay fuse. This is the fuse type recommended by the VFD manufacturer. To provide the specified fuse may cause problems of nuisance tripping.
