steel, 60" tall and 84" wide, 18 feet long. Baffles will consist of two cross baffles
and one longitudinal baffle for a total of three. Cross baffles will be '/4" steel,
cross -braced and gusseted. Baffles will have 20" offset holes with cutouts in the
bottom. The manway will be 20" to 22", rectangular, with a hinged lid and a
quick release holddown.
6.3 A 3" interior discharge pipe will be fitted from front to rear. All pipes will be
schedule 40. A sump with an anti -vortex baffle will be located in the bottom of
the tank, with a 5" fitting and stainless steel pipe from the sump to the flusher
system pump. At the city's discretion, the 5" pipe may be schedule 40, epoxy
coated. A 2" pipe fitting with plug will be provided for later use with a deicer
system. The sump will be located with at least 12" of clear space laterally and
vertically from frame rails and crossmembers, driveline, suspension and other
components. Denver Truck Sales is not responsible for precise location pending
inspection of the City's truck and its construction. We will adapt the tank to meet
this specification or come as close as possible. The sight gauge will be tube type,
mounted front and rear on the bulkheads. An MCO or equivalent level gauge
overflow pipe of 3" diameter will extend up into the manhole. A hydrant fill 3"
pipe will be mounted, with a 5" to 6" anti -siphon airgap. A removable strainer
