A complete bid tally will be available no later than October 10, 2002. Upon request, that tally will be sent to bidders via fax or email. Submission of bid — Submit bid specification and bid proposal for each vehicle bid. Do not forget to complete and submit the Signature/Addenda page. Bid #5734, MAPO Bid 2002-119, 2003 Light Trucks, Cab Chassis, Cutaway Van 5.0 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: Section 6.0, Technical Specifications for each vehicle, Section 7.0 Bid Proposal for each vehicle, and Section 8.0, Signature and Addenda constitute your complete Bid Proposal and are to be filled out and returned. Bidders must complete, sign and return Section 8.0, along with a properly filled out Section 6.0 and 7.0 for each vehicle bid. 5.1 Exceptions to specifications: Record exceptions in the space provided on the individual specification sheets where possible. If necessary, attach separate sheets with explanations of exceptions and deviations. 5.2 Specification format and bidder responses: The bid forms are laid out with each bid specification identified by number (No.), Item, and Description. An additional column, titled "Meets Spec" shall be used to indicate whether or not the bid vehicle complies with that spec or not. Circle either 'Yes' to show compliance with the specification or 'No' to show non-compliance. Please explain all 'No' responses. Bidders may enter explanations of exceptions in either the Item or Description column. Such explanations and general notes can also be entered in a section labeled Notes & Exceptions at the end of most Specification sections. Some Entities will be ordering LEV and ULEV vehicles using this bid. Accordingly, the bidder should provide the certification status for both the standard engine and any optional engines. Space for that information is included in the Engine box of the specification. Enter the bid engine displacement and the certification level of that engine. Optional engine information is to be entered in the bid proposal, Section 7.3, Options. Bidders should list all optional low - emitting engines, as many entities will be purchasing such vehicles to meet fleet clean air goals. 5.3 Method of Award: Award will be made based on the lowest responsive, responsible BASE PRICE. Base price, as specified, per unit $ 18,300 The Base Price listed above, refers to the vehicle price, as specified in 6.0: Specifications. A separate award will be made, if necessary and where applicable, for Alternate Fueled vehicles. Such awards will be based on base price plus the option price of the alternate fuel package.
