General: For base bid purposes, the extent of existing pool floor demolition shall be 1,850 square feet, including as a minimum, the areas identified in the drawings and an additional strip 4' wide by the width of the pool in the shallow end for piping. The contractor should be aware that dewatering in the deep end area could be required. For bid purposes, the existing filter internals are expected to be in good working condition. During construction, the Owner's pool consultant will inspect the internals prior to replacing sand during re -installation. If replacement of internals is required, it shall be accomplished via change order. Erosion Control per the City of Ft. Collins Standards will be required. Clarification to Alternate #4 - the tempering valve and the 1 " CW to the valve shall be part of the alternate. Base bid shall include a 1" CW stubbed for the tempering valve. Add: Bid Alternate # 6 — To demolish existing pool concrete floor to a maximum 6" diameter, leave in place and compact entire pool floor per soils report. Strantrol units only shall be provided and installed. Section 16110 BASIC MATERIALS AND METHODS; add the following paragraph: 2.9 ENCLOSED CIRCUIT BREAKERS A. Provide an enclosed circuit breaker as the main service disconnect switch having the electrical characteristics, ratings and modifications indicated. 1. Each pole of these breakers shall provide inverse time delay and 2 instantaneous circuit protection. 2. Switching mechanism shall be trip -free type. 3. Modifications: a. The breaker and enclosure shall be UL listed for use as service entrance equipment. b. Enclosure shall be NEMA 3R rated. c. Interrupting rating of the circuit breaker shall be 35000 AIC. Drawings: Sheet C1 PVC perforated pipe shall be SDR-35. Storm drain check valves shall be as manufactured by Agri Drain (or approved equal). All storm drain check valves shall be equipped with cleanout. Item 1 in the perforated pipe drainage chart shall be described as 12" nyloplast drain basin. Item 4 in the in the perforated pipe drainage chart shall be described as 12" nyloplast drain basin. 1-8" (north) and 2-4" (east, west) storm drain check valves shall be installed at this location. The length of pipe between items 6 and 13 and between 7 and 14 is 17 feet. A new 12" drain basin and pipe, east of the proposed mechanical building, to be installed per attached drawing: NEW DRAIN BASIN AND PIPE. Sheet C2 Concrete encasement in storm line 1 to be per attached detail: REINFORCED CONCRETE ENCASEMENT — F28. Bedding of all storm sewer and force main pipe to be modified class B per attached detail: MODIFIED CLASS B BEDDING DETAIL. Revise storm line chart. New storm line chart included with pipe bedding detail above. Sheet C3 Title of sheet should read "SEWER FORCE MAIN AND BACKWASH PIPE PLAN AND PROFILE." At stations 1 +93 and 3+26 of the sewer force main, contractor to lower water services lines as necessary. Sewer force main to be schedule 80 PVC with solvent weld joints. Sheet LS1, SD1 Add one gate and 5'-0"x5'-0"x4" slab to the west side of the site at the south west corner of the existing City Park Center Building. Gate detail and hardware to match door #15 door type # 6 as shown on sheet A8.1 Sheet SD1 Where retaining wall is shown closer than 1'-0" to existing boardwalk, move wall to create 1'-0" area between edge of boardwalk and outside edge of retaining wall. Sheet X1 Delete keynote 11, the top V-0" of the perimeter pool is not required to be removed All pole lights inside the construction limits shall be removed. There are two (2) pole lights on the east side of the site not specifically noted for removal. Sheet A1.1 Add one electric hand dryer to each toilet room, as shown on interior elevation 8/A7.1 . A mow strip is not required below the fence as part of the base bid. Sheet A3.1 See attached PARTIAL ROOF PLAN (ADD2) for layout of pavers or walkway pads. Sheet A4.1 EAST ELEVATION - Doors 8 & 9 have one 12"x12" wired glass window in each door. SOUTH ELEVATION - Doors 11 & 12 have one 12"x6" louver in each door. Sheet A5.1 Thickened slabs are to be as shown on the structural drawings. Sheet A7.1 Add the attached toilet room interior elevation 8/A7.1 (ADD1). Detail 7/A7.1 Awning shall be pre -finished metal as specified in section 07610 or as approved by the architect prior to bidding. Sheet A8.1 Clarification / Correction - Doors 14 & 15 are gates, #14 occurs at the entrance of the existing bathhouse. There are two (2) #15 gates one at the mechanical building and one in the fence at the southwest corner of the City Park Center Sheet S1.1 Piers and grade beam for screen wall shall be part of add alternate #4. Sheet AQ5 Detail 11 /AQ5 SCS footing details should indicate a sealant joint at the top slab interface with the main pool floor slab. Reinforcing is not indicated in the top slab because the top slab is to be removed and replaced. When the future amenities are added, reinforcing will be required in the top slab, and the reinforcing should be doweled into the pool floor. Detail 3/AQ5 Pool floor reinforcing shall stop at each side of the expansion joint. Pool piping shall run beneath the new floor slab and expansion joint.
