SPRING PARK IMPROVEMENTS
SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Description of Bid #5728 Spring Park Improvements
OPENING DATE: September 3, 2002, 3:00p.m. (Our Clock)
To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above, the
following changes are hereby made.
SPECIFICATIONS
1. Section 01800 — DEFINATION OF BID ITEMS
A. Bid Item 4 — Demolition
Add — Work to include removal of electrical outlet box and post near existing shelter. Do
no salvage.
Add — Work to include removal and salvage, for City, of the bicycle rack near the existing
shelter.
B. Bid Item 11 — Domestic Water Service Connection
Add — Work to include placement of new water line under asphalt access road. Items of
work include removal of asphalt and base for waterline installation, installation of
waterline with backfill to 95% compaction. The City will supply contractors under
separate contract to repair the asphalt road. Traffic control will be supplied by the City.
See attached drawing.
C. Bid Item 14 — Concrete Sidewalks and slabs, 5" thick
Clarification — The contractor is not responsible for the installation of the footings for the
new shelter.
SPECIFICATIONS
1. Section 01400 —QUALITY CONTROL AND TESTING
Information — This section outlines the City's and the Contractor's testing
responsibilities.
2. Section 02870 —MISCELLANEOUS SITE FURNISHINGS
Part 2: MATERIALS, 2.03 — Drinking Fountain: Delete
3. Section 15410—PLUMBING PIPING
Part 2: PRODUCTS, 2.01 Pipe and Pipe Fittings, C.2
Add — PVC rigid plastic pipe per CA is allowed for below grade installation.

1. Sheet 15 — SITE DETAILS
Detail 5 - Walk Addition: Delete
