Description of Bid P-836 Placement of Feature Linked Address Annotations

To all prospective bidders under the specifications and contract documents described above, the
following changes are hereby made.
OPENING DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MAY 20, 2002, 2:OOP.M. (OUR CLOCK)
Addendum: Scope of Work Expansion,
la. Corrections to the Arclnfo address list Database
The Contractor will reference the Poudre Fire Authorities current map book and edit the
City of Fort Collins address database to reflect addresses that contain building and unit
designations. The address database itself contains some of this information however
it is concatenated, meaning the building and unit designations are in one field. The
cities current updating procedures do not allow us to distinguish between buildings and
units. Consequently the unit field may be populated with data that needs to be split into
two fields. The contractor will be required to quality control the current entries in the
address database and make any needed corrections by capturing units and buildings
in separate fields. The contractor will use the Poudre Fire Authorities detailed run book
maps to add the building and unit attributes that do not currently exist in the address
database. Also annotations will be created for the building designations. Sample pages
of The Poudre Fire Authorities run book maps can be provided in a pdf format at the
contractor's request. The contractor should provide in their submittal separately what
this additional work would cost.
