CITY OF FORT COLLINS
CULTURAL, LIBERARY AND RECREATIONAL SERVICES
PARK PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
December, 2001
Partnering During the Construction Phase:
Partnering is a structured process developed to produce a successful job for the City
and it's contractors. The foundation of any successful project is people. This process
focuses on developing a team of "stakeholders" united by a common mission and
objective. The process creates an atmosphere conductive to increased trust and decision
making. Partnering fosters open and honest communications among individuals and
puts the handshake into the communication process.
The partnering process will result in allowing the City and it's contractors to develop a
cooperative construction leadership team with a single goal of constructing a successful
project for all involved parties.
