Not only has Belford Watkins Group personnel been involved in new and prototypical Q station design, but also many remodel and addition protects to existing stations In fact, our experience is extensive in the difficult venue of renovation work ranging from addition / remodel protects for fire stations, 0 churches and schools, to small controlled maintenance protects for school ® districts and municipalities The proposed) team for the Poudre Fire 'Watkins Authority contract includes many firms that Belford has worked with ® on fire stations and renovation protects, as well as consultants that have worked successfully with the City of Fort Collins in the past Naa ,r Availability Belford Watkins Group has the availability to start work at any time Once Poudre Fire Authority's target dates are known, Belford Watkins can recommend a schedule to accomplish the deadline with 0 written and/or graphic schedule matenal that will set milestones for the entire Design / Owner Team Belford Watkins has been involved in many public school protects that require: strict adherence to t schedules in order to accomplish construction within specified windows This is exemplified by local projects for the Poudre School District including the recent renovation to Blevins Junior High and addition/remodels completed for Riffenburgh and Bennett Elementary Schools The size of protects anticipated by Poudre Fire Authority can be easily accommodated with existing staff and they will be completed in Poudre Fire Authority's time frames Belford ®Watkins ' presence in following describes our philosophy and approach to project cost control Set expectations during the programming phase The program provides accurate detail about the quantities and types of space It also captures the overall quality of construction that the city and fire authority expects The time and effort spent on developing a realistic budget will pay dividends as the project moves forward info design We will work from a milestone design schedule At the first milestone, our design team can develop a very useful tool — a cost model This tool is nothing more than a baseline estimate broken down by building systems It is then used as a measuring stick for subsequent design decisions and estimates With this powerlul tool, out design team can prioritize design decisions Decisions will be acknowledged through meeting minutes, space planning sheets and schematic design drawings and form the foundation for subsequent construction document eflorts Value engineering, if needed, will be based on items that minimally affect the scope, aesthetics, or function of the facility POUDRE FIRE AUTHORITY ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING S E R V I C E S Belford Watkins Group LLC SECTION
