HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESPONSE - RFP - P667 FOURTH OF JULY SPONSORS (3)KRFX•KBCO•KBPI-KIT IH•KHOWKOA•KTLK To Jim O'Neal Purchasing Department City of Ft Collins PO Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522 From Maggie Kunze Special Event Marketing Manager Jacor Broadcasting 1612 Laporte Ave Fort Collins, CO 80521 Re Proposal for partnership with Jacor Broadcasting of Colorado, City of Ft Collins, and the 4th of July Celebration in City Park Dear Jim Jacor Broadcasting owns and operates Ft Collins' local radio stations KPAW- 107 9, KGLL-96, KCOL-1410 a m We would like to propose a partnership between our radio stations and the City of Ft Collins We are in the business of putting on promotions and special events Our staff is experienced in working with governmental agencies, as well as being in the position to bring in corporate entities for sp6nsorship We would like to propose the following scenario Jacor Broadcasting would take over the hard -costs for 4th of July Celebration, including the cost of the Fireworks, permits and promotional advertising Jacor would work with the existing committee and help facilitate the overall plans for the event Jacor would have the opportunity to bring in corporate sponsorships to help defray the expenses of the event Jacor would offer to manage the sale of booth spaces, food and beverage vending, and share the proceeds with the City of Ft Collins Jacor could also handle the booking and expense of entertainment for the city Jacor's radio stations would be given exclusive rights as the overall event sponsor JACOR BROADCASTING OF COLORADO, INC • 1380 LAWRENCE ST SUITE 1300 • DFNVFR, CO 80204 (303) 8938SOO The City of Ft Collins would provide the infi astructure of the appropriate departments, such as clean-up through Parks and Recreation, the Showmobile for staging, security with the police department, fire department, etc In summary, we feel that this would be an excellent partnership, and a win -win situation for the City of Ft Collins, our radio stations and the citizens in general It would provide some budgetary relief for the city, as well as a lot of planning and facilitating for an event of this magnitude As this is in the proposal stage, we want to emphasize that we are flexible in working out the best situation for all parties involved We are more than happy to sit down with the existing committee and work out the details We know that combining our efforts will make this a bigger and better celebration Thank you for your consideration If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to call Maggie Kunze at (303)267-9135 or contact Deb McCormick- Director of sales, or Sheryl Shaefor- Promotion Director at 482-5991
