1.1 Introduction
This document proposes a network topology and service plan for
Internetworkmg services, designed exclusively for the City of Fort Collins.
The proposed plan is a comprehensive package designed to meet the remote
access Virtual Private Network (VPN) needs of an entire city staff, initially
consisting of 50 users. This proposed plan is scalable, so that up through
several hundred users can be accommodated as future requirements dictate.
1.2 Proposal Submittal and Administration
1.2.1 Company History
Peak to Peak Internet was founded in 1993 as 1-Up Software, Inc., a custom
Internet software development company As the demand for enterprise
solutions expanded, so did the scope of the company's business. Internet
access services are handled exclusively through the Peak to Peak division of
the company. Employees on staff have combined decades of experience
with computing, network engineering, software development, and
administration.
Peak to Peak Internet first started providing high -quality leading edge
dialup solutions in the Denver Metro area, and has been providing services
in the Fort Collins area nearly two years Peak to Peak Internet currently
serves the entire region, including Longmont, Denver, Boulder, Nederland,
Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley, and points beyond Comprehensive
services from dialup modems to full T1 lines are provided, as well as
security consulting, remote access outsourcing and administration, web
hosting, and custom development.
