All equipment maintenance is done by the C.P.N. golf
course maintenance staff. The equipment is serviced based
on an hours operated schedule supplied by the
manufacturer. An inventory of frequently used parts is
maintained in the maintenance shop and used for repairs.
Repair parts can also be obtained from manufacturers
within 24 to 48 hours.
All equipment is fueled at the Parks Dept. Maintenance
Shop which is adjacent to the golf course. Unleaded and
diesel fuel is available from above ground tanks. An
inventory of motor oils and greases is kept in the shop
for use as needed.
Any hazardous waste generated at the golf course is
disposed of in compliance with E.P.A. (Environmental
Protection Agency) regulations.
Used oil products are recycled through the City Equipment
Division Eacility. Pesticide residues and rinseates are
either reapplied to the course or disposed of according to
label directions.
The use of contractors or outside personnel is limited
to'major renovations such as building construction or
parking lot and cart path renovation.
