RE: Increase in City Tournament Fees for City Co -Sponsored Events
Histoncally, and as per policy, I have charged only'h of the appropriate Green Fees and
waived Tournament Reservation Fees, for City Co -Sponsored Tournaments This includes
the Collindale and the SouthRidge Invitationals, and the City Championships
Because of our severe revenue shortfall situation, we can no longer afford to subsidize these
tournament events as we have in the past when the Golf Fund had sufficient reserves, etc
Therefore, effective for 2004, the City will charge the full appropriate Green Fees for the
above mentioned events We will continue to not charge the Tournament Reservation Fees
tumors are still the only ones allowed to utilize their Annual Passes or Punch Cards for the
City Junior Championship, but those without passes or punch cards will pay full "Jumor"
Green Fees for their event
Generally this will raise the cost of an 18-hole tournament for adults by $12 per day, or $24
for two days, or $36 for three days, which means you may need to adjust your other
costs/expenses If you desire to keep the entry price for the tournaments as low as possible,
I'd suggest that you take less money for pries, or you lower the expectations for any food
and/or beverages associated with the particular event Regardless, the City will get its full
Daily Green Fees for these events until the Golf Fund returns to a more positive cash flow
position in the future
