ADDENDUM - Scope of Work and Quote for Fort Collins Climate Protection Task Force
(September 2007)
Task 4 expansion. Facilitate Task Force Meetings
Scone Eight, approximately monthly meetings with task force and eight team meetings with staff
between task force meetings to review technical results of Tasks 2,3,6,7 and plan task force meetings
accordingly
Assumptions City staff will be responsible for all meeting logistics (location, food, notification, agenda,
distribution of materials, minutes) Task force meetings and planning/integration meetings are 2-hours in
length
Schedule MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP, OCT
Update Two additional climate task force meeting were scheduled, one in July and one in September, and
there may be an additional meeting needed in the future Consequently, more resources are also needed
for additional planning meetings between task force meetings
Task 6 expansion. Develop High -Level Cost -benefit Analyses of priority measures
Scope This is the mator focus of the consultant technical support effort Draw upon existing data and
research when possible, and develop and defend cost and benefit assumptions when necessary
Assumptions This task will depend on the number of measures the City chooses to evaluate and the
relative complexity and detail of cost -benefit analysis The level of effort is therefore unknown at this
time The Brendle Group assumes that the process will be contained to a number of measures that can be
evaluated within the hours set for this task
Update Given the high number of measures identified for qualitative analysis (> 200) and the complexity
of measures for quantification, more resources are needed for this task In addition, each quantified
measure will now be quantified for 2020 net present value and the costs and savings will be broken out
between the City government and the users These analyses were not covered in the original scope of
work
Task 8 (new) Conduct "Cost:Benefit Analysis Subcommittee"
Convene, lead and report on results of the Cost Benefit Analysis Subcommittee
Schedule September
